GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Our first steps in the PC version of GTA Online started yesterday evening and we aimlessly wandered around Los Santos and its surroundings with all settings maxed out. Even with our rig (i5 4670K @ 4.0 GHz, 8 Go RAM, Windows 8.1, SLI of 970s), we couldn't avoid a few frame drops but overall it's safe to say that the PC port of Grand Theft Auto V is definitely well-optimized. Yesterday's patch caused some severe issues performance-wise though, but it will most certainly be fixed in the days to come. Not everyone is concerned as I had no problem while Miguel now finds the game completely unplayable. Check out our four gameplay videos captured at 1080p/60fps.
Update: 1440p (DSR) benchmark added. We overclocked the processor a tad more and lowered down the distance scaling option a little bit.

Stop tempting me with your sexy videos, you're only fueling my desire to watch them, then all my hard work of ignoring everything ever mentioned or shown or reviewed about this game will be spoiled... with spoilers.

I have no issues with GTA online with my 500/500Mbit FTH, but a friend of mine in the UK who has not as much bandwidth (6/1Mbit ADSL).. He cannot get it to work with public sessions because it completly lags him out.. It only works for him when we play freemode in private session.. Looks like GTA Online has severe bandwidth requirements.. I really hope they fix this so I can play publc freemode with my all my firends..

Looks great but I was expecting a much bigger difference from Ps4 to PC.
I was fooled by Rockstars PC-pics.

yeah...2 years extra wait for higher resolution and 60fps (most of the time)...another 'win' for the PC master race.

Mods should be interesting....but the rest of the gaming worlds been enjoying this for over 2 years now and ready for gta6.

Least we finally have hiests

Yeah. Most of the time. The other times it's 120.

Oh, please. The PS4 version was released less than six months ago..

I am glad they took their time and did it right. GTA4 was a mess.

What was surprising to me is how well my PS4 version held up sitting right beside my GTX780 version. Sure, I get better frame rates and a higher res, but the frame rate isn't always consistent. The effects and visuals overall were not much different at all, and one of the biggest surprises for me was that I could not get my PC version to look as good as the PS4 version texture wise until I set textures to very high. The PS4 was sharper until then, so the PS4 version is running the equivalent of 'very high' textures. I think they did a great job with the console version and since we now have devs concentrating on only the newer consoles, I think we'll see some surprising things come out of at least the PS4 next year. I wonder if the Xbone will keep up or see its struggles get worse over time.
