Hell yes. I wasn't going to buy this because I have nobody to play a fighting game with really. But now that its online its a must-buy.

Online??? Virtua Fighter? LOL... I think this game is online unplayable cuz it's very frame based.

I'm one of those who think having this game online will mess with the timing of... well everything.
Anyway I look forward to fighting online regardless. Nice little feature to have when you're friends cant get to your house. Hope to see some of you chaps there!

i agree that vf5 online is good news, im not a fighting game fan so dont own doa or any other fighters such as soul calibur and none of them interest me, but its certainly good news for those fighter fans who like online play as an option.

and mike, im guessin this refers to shane from egm/1up. hopefully he doesnt disregard this news as none-news due to vf5's apparent problems with going online. like he always says "would you rather not have the option [insert 1up podcast member here - usually garnett]"

DOA 4 works with frames as well .... it works ok like ... I know VF is a slower game and other things. But online is aways a good thing =)

Slower game? Well I guess you do occasionally have to stop and think in Virtua Fighter ;)

DOA is a much "looser" game in that regard, but I'm sure this will be playable.. if not a little game breaking at times. It's always good to have the option though. I'm very pleased.

IT well be fine online DOA4 plays fine with 2 to 4 players in the room. It's when you go over that where it falls apart. As long as they don't get to crazy with the online so the bandwith stays high it will be Bad ASS.

I knew it would happen. I don't care how frame based people claim it is online play adds to the game and there will be some very fun fights online regardless. I don't plan on getting it, but I know people will enjoy it.

yeh it was just funny the other week on one of the podcast, shane was basically putting the 360 version down etc

But now as it turns out the 360 version will be the complete version mirroring the version c arcade game (ps3 version was version b) and have online, he said online was never going to happen :-)

I like this news. There's really no excuse to not have fighting games online unless the single player game is ridiculously awesome (not true of at least the PLAYSTAION 3 version of Virtua Fighter 5), or you only want to compete with your friends (in which case you're a coward for shying away from broadening your horizons).

As a Virtua Fighter fan who knows no one in real life who also likes Virtua Fighter, this is awesome.

Eh, DoA4 is broken online but it's still fun, I dare say this will be the same.
