Vision Game Engine image

Trinigy released this image from their Xbox 360 graphics engine, Vision Xbox 360 SDK. The engine is used in more than 40 game projects, and will be unveiled at the GDC on the 20th of March. Several PC games are using it already, Emergency 4 and Desperados 2 among others. No special X360 game has been named, but one of the upcoming games using it is an Asian MMORPG. It looks pretty promising, and new engines are always fun to look at.

Apart from the character, this is looking interesting, thanks Manager.

[what were you up to? messing around with settings again, eh?]

Looks interesting, Emergency 3 was good fun (if only because of the crazy situations) and I'd love a 360 version that had the option to play as individual characters aswell as the overseer.

It Looks like Lego and jaggies!

The character is rather weak, the background is 'okay' but I would have expected they could come up with a better screenshot to pimp their engine.

Give it some HDR and i think it would look nice.

Other then that, the texturing reminds me to much of the Source engine, all shiny and crap.

what jaggies?

Not impressed by the engine (according to this shot). Details aren't that good I'd say.

I like it.

The textures on the right building are warped due to some of the shader effects. Character, me. Do my eyes betray me or do I see... Lens Flares?! LENS FLARES!!! That is sooo 1998!

Sorry to be so critical, but an engine PR shot is meant to impress. You know, get a great angle, show off your best tech/art all in one swoop to get people excited. This... hmmm would make a good MMO maybe, but Huxley is head and shoulders above this.

Looks pretty good I'd say we must learn to see past certain imperfections.

Character could probably use a bit of work, but one can learn to like the environment i guess.

Looks like Fifth Phantom Saga, ie crap.

Is it just me, or do all the devs love brick reflections?

There's a lack of "vision" on that screenshot!

I also am not very impressed with this screenshot. For one why so much bumpmapping and for two it is not real clean or detailed.

At first glance it doesn't seem like anything we would want to play. The game engine looks very dated when compared to Unreal Engine 3 and others.

I decided to take a look at the Trinigy game engine for myself, so I clicked my way over to Trinigy and and found these additinal images that also include the character we see in the Vision Game Engine pic.

The old lady is the best image, while the landscapes look very last generationish. I shudder to think that 40 game projects are in development with this game engine.

We can only pray that this is not the final build of the Vision game engine. Yikes!!

This really says little about the game engine. Maybe the graphics engine but little about how the mechanics of the game come to play. Doesn't really look spectacular.

So far it looks as though the brick walls are covered in aluminum foil.....................I like poptarts...................

is this an expensive engine or...

hopefully is something a lot of devs will have access to :D

Hmm, you guys are being a bit harsh. Maybe Trinigy actually has a kickass engine, but really crappy artists.

Damn she need some cream! Get some lotion or something.

Very impressive screens though. Maybe Blim could "borrow" ¬_¬ some of those and put them on this site.

Why is it that Blim is the only one ever mentioned? Manager and Snoopers help a whole heap too, its not just Blim...The last few things were posted by Manager, he does a hell of a lot.
This engine looks silly and...as said...tin foily.

I think people just wanna say the word blim to be honest.

:)

Engine looks poor btw. For next gen and a showoff of the engine our eyes should be popping. Like with the UE3 shots from GOW... that was fantasticle.

The lighting is completely screwed up. The primary light source is behind the building, yet there is a whole heap of bloom on the bridge and there is lighting on the wall that isnt facing the light source...wtf?

Tiz @amerakindesi: I liked 4's campaign as well, 5 was a massive misstep and while Joe isn't necessary for the H5 campaign to be good, I think he is necessary for it to be epic. (4 Hours ago)

amerakindesi To be frank though I loved halo 1, halo 2, halo 3, halo 4 campaigns in that order. 4 was my fav. (4 Hours ago)
