Warner Bros. and Snowblind have released a new trailer of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North showing off Beleram, the great eagle. The video contains gameplay footage.
Not bad at all, but they keep saying 2011, not a clear release date. I'm sorry but if this one releases near Skyrim..i'm not getting it. I hope to see it before it.

Technically no, but there were many eagles in the book which were only mentioned in passing - with no specific details. It's the same case for the game's antagonist Agandaur; technically he wasn't in the books, but Tolkien hinted as several dark servants to Sauron across Middle-earth.
