Maybe before a game you can pick "Allow tanks" etc so you can have plane or tank only battles if you want.
Or a jeep battle or just on-foot etc.

Huh, I must be missing something. Sony's (once) flagship now degraded to download and multiplayer only. Doesn't that tell you something?

Besides it looks to me like a weak copy of Battlefield with last gen effects. Come on, those explosions are a disgrase. Look at GRAW2, Crysis and LostPlanet if you are cluesless to how to do proper pyro and smoke effects...

....Too bad they can't do gameplay :p

Warhawk is physics galore, not everything has to look great to be fun and this uses the PS3s early power for shit loads of crap going on screen with shit loads of characters with top notch physics.

So yeah, for that, it looks bloody amazing.

It also runs as smooth as silk.
Oh yeah Free Online too.

And to call a game last-gen just because the explosion graphics aren't 'amazing' is a bit immature.

This is a great game but if you think it looks last-gen and is a "Weak Battlefield", you know what you can do?

antenna, true for most part. I simply doesn't understand the hype you are building for the game. Most previews I have read on warhawk said it had ALOT of work to be done to make it even remotely enjoyable. That the on foot combat was horrible (and it still looks so). Some parts of it does look quite good, especially the aireal stuff, but is it enough?

Ofcourse the final vote is still up in the air (pun intended) but I have a feeling this will flob miserable. The ps3 is not ready for a multiplayer only game yet. Hell, the x360 isn't even ready for that in my book.

And yes, noone is forcing me to buy it. I'm quite aware of that, thank you :)

The thing is this will probably be a PSN game you can pick up (well, download) for $10 or so and for that it looks like a great pick up for 30mins and have a blast online kind of game.

That's one of the big reasons I want it.
Cheap, great fun and a blast with friends.

However if they are expecting me to pay more than $10-15 for this, THEN they can take a hike ;)
Unless they add a good single-player campaign then I might consider paying more.

Like I wouldn't buy that duck game on PSN but I will buy Warhawk/ Calling All Cars etc as they deserve the price.
That duck game however cheap it is, isn't worth it.
