Just sounds like a whole lot of bullshit to me. What i took away form that video was basically, you can use the retarded share function of the PS4 and the graphics will be slightly better. Yay. Is that what next-gen is all about? Instant access facebook? Super hyped for that.

Doesn't look promising. Too much automatic stuff, similar to most current gen Ubi games.

@Megido - you can bet on that. Next-gen will introduce a lot more non-gaming stuff.

Well, i suppose the share thing COULD be awesome if they do it right, but come on...If i could capture an hour or so of high-res footage of a game, then get it out to edit and do shit with, then sure i guess. It might be a nice enough function that fets people to make good content without the hassle of capturing video the way you have to go about it currently. By far more likely, however, is that you'll get a 10-minute video in 720 at 30 fps at best, that then has ugly sony water stamps pasted all over them. But that's just me guessing, and i suppose i'm not known for my enormous optimism :P

I just don't see why they are focusing so hard on features like that...who is it supposed to appeal to? As a gamer i couldn't give less of a shit about facebook in my console, and as a guy who watches a lot of game related content on the web...well, they already know how to capture for fucks sake. And if i wanted to produce content i also already know how to capture video. And the non-gamers, or casuals? What are they going to get out of this? capturing that one moment when the guard humps the wall due to a glitch in AC? And that's the best case scenario, more likely is that we just get tons of completely inane videos of retards playing games, entertainment value 0 :P

I actually really like the share feature. And i assume MS will have something similar. Less for the whole social facebook bullshit. More the fact it's essentially an integrated capture card. I love when games have those sorts of features, like just cause, wipeout, dirt. To have a centralised, universal means to do it is awesome. To witness a funny glitch and simply record a 10 second clip of it will be great, or capturing that sweet barrel roll in a racer, or how you blew a guys head off from a mile away, no scope. Or when someone asks "what does you commander Shepard/saints row character look like" and just being able to take a screen capture.

Why it wasn't included in the current gen is beyond me. If people can rave about the awesomeness of halo's theatre mode, i fail to see how this is a bad move. It's the same thing but works across all games. And if the PS4 is like the PS3, it'll have a half decent movie editor on there.

It is a nice little bonus, but just a bonus and shouldn't be touted as one of the great next gen features that Sony are bleating about. It could have, and has in some form been implemented in current gen systems. Certain games have it like Halo 3. The game automatically captured your play time on that. Wasn't a bad feature, but the fact that it is now standard on the hardware could prove more useful than what could be a useless sensor bar and touch pad. Youtube better prepare their servers for a massive influx of COD shit spam made by kids recording their useless killstreaks, all clones of one another. The whole Facebook social networking thing can fuck right off, and all. You know the industry has taken a nose dive in the wrong direction when they start to concentrate on muck like that. That is not why I play games as a past time.

I do not mind that feature. I actually want to try it out and see. But nothing special to share. I am not really good in video games like some nerds. lol

I kinda like the Share feature, remember when BF3 beta was out? It would have been awesome to capture some of those bugs realtime and tweet them to friends haha

Are people really trying to say video sharing is a bad thing? Machinima creators and video bloggers are going to eat this feature up.

The whole social sharing aspect makes sense. You're giving publishers free publicity and entertaining your friends at the same time. As long as its not mandatory it's going to be a good thing.

And like Xiong mentioned, bug/glitch/cheater reporting just became a lot easier.

Yeah.. streaming and video capture has become a pretty integral part of the PC gaming experience for a lot of people. It's awesome.

It's quite a bit more than "a small bonus" to quite a few people.

Exactly, you can expect a lot of streaming from ps4 via multiple players on the same game from different points of views, makes me laugh at the negative replies in this post that don't really understand that it is not just for video capture, But Streaming, pod casts, tube videos which are quite big in gaming now

The Share function will be the GLITCH finder lol. How easy will it be for developers to see a glitch that somebody posts that they witnessed in the game and then a patch can fix these things. How can this be a bad thing in anyway?

I like the idea but it all depends how it works.

Instant recording with one button on the fly?
will the recording hit the performance or will it stay the same?
Does it work with all games or is it specific games implemented by developers?
Where does it upload? (hopefully youtube is one option)
how is the quality and what resolution?
can we edit the video to a specific part/s before we upload it?

So yeah, a few questions unanswered (as far as i am aware of) but the idea is great for sure.

It always records the last 15 minutes
No performance hit
Works with all games
Stores on your console, can upload to youtube (and the facebook)
720p
You can select what sections you want to upload with a quick editor, i'd assume they'd release something like the movie editor that's on the PS3, which lets you combine clips, add transitions, music, etc.

When you press the share button, you see the last 15 minutes of whatever you played or did. It just records 15 minutes all the time. Which is good, because you can't pre-plan awesome random situations. But if they happen, you'll know you can access it and store it/upload it.

Always excited to see more about this game and learn more about how devs are using the PS4. Let's go! :D

This is what makes the share feature so cool. It applies to any and every game, not just sony specific titles. It's a pretty huge feature to have.

I'm 35 so maybe that's old but who gives a F*@#! about being connected. I'm just so tired of everybody needing to comunicate and share every single aspect of there life with each other.

Side note. This game is being compared to GTA by some people. I'm sorry it's not even going to be close. GTA's graphics maybe not as good but it makes up for it in atmosphere.

I love you guys.
