Team 17 has officially announced Worms Ultimate Mayhem, described as a “souped-up, re-vamped, high definition reimagining” of Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem. It will be released later in 2011 on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC.
3D mayhem to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation®Network and Steam later in 2011.
London, UK – 27th July, 2011 – Annelid aficionados Team 17 today announced the first details of Worms™ Ultimate Mayhem, their forthcoming outing of digital destruction.
Worms™ Ultimate Mayhem is a souped-up, re-vamped, high definition reimagining of Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem, bringing both games together in one incredibly over-stuffed, over-the-top package for Xbox 360 from Xbox LIVE®, for PlayStation®3 from PlayStation®Network, and also for PC from Steam™. Including all of the content from the original games, Worms™ Ultimate Mayhem also brings a whole host of anarchic additions – more single-player missions, more puzzles, more customisation, more worms!
Team 17 Head of Design John Dennis voices his delight at bringing the 3D turn-based mayhem into the current generation:
"It's been an absolute pleasure getting the chance to revisit two titles that we remember so fondly. In squeezing the entire content of both "Worms 3D" and "Worms 4: Mayhem" into one collector's edition digital package, we've delivered a "best of the 3D Worms games" experience, complete with 60 single-player missions, 12 graphical themes, 38 weapons, full online play for up to four players and literally more ways to customise your worm and game experience than we can count.”
"As if that wasn't enough, we've also taken the opportunity to add high-definition sparkle to the visuals and make a raft of improvements and extra content, as suggested by fans of the original titles: from vastly improved camera functionality and voice-acted mission intro sequences, to all-new challenges and multiplayer maps. We're very proud of the original games, and hope that in delivering this definitive version, fans of the original titles and players new to them will take the time to check out Worms Ultimate Mayhem."
Worms™ Ultimate Mayhem will be released later in 2011, literally full to bursting with more content than you can shake a worm at!
@Melmoth: I think it's quite important in BB to be able to fight without locking on, because of the difference between the roll and the quick step. (1 Hour ago)
Wow...these Bloodborne bosses are INSANE! I haven't got my ass kicked this much since my Detroit Public school days.. (3 Hours ago)
@Megido: i used to be a shield-guy ..until i played the Dark Souls Expansion that is :). Then i learned to time my rolls. but i feel the dashes in BB are a bit lousy in some boss battles. (4 Hours ago)
@rayy: If you are a veteran you are probably used to playing without a shield anyway, but the higher pace has tripped me up quite a few times. (4 Hours ago)
@rayy: It's the game's tagline, something that you should relate to. A hunter goes after its prey, not away from it. In BB's lore, you're a "Hunter" and when you kill a boss, it says: Prey Slaughtered (4 Hours ago)
@BlimBlim: Good luck tomorrow! (4 Hours ago)
We are going to cancel our live due to an issue with our twitch channel, we'll try and do that tomorrow. Sorry! (4 Hours ago)
