X06: More images of Street Trace NYC

X06: More images of Street Trace NYC

Gaia Industries made us aware of that the images released yesterday, from the Xbox Live Arcade title Street Trace NYC, during X06 was from a quite old build of the game, and sent out the following images from a newer version. It certainly looks better now, and seems really impressive this time. With some luck this fully 3D Live multiplayer title can be out next month, and you'll find some more info inside.

The game supports four player split screen multiplayer, and up to eight players over Xbox Live, with over 40 leaderbords to compete in. There are 4 battle modes and 3 racing modes, with 3 arenas and 3 race tracks to choose from. The game is planned for a release in October this year.

Its nice to see live arcade games in 3d. Im sick of the poor 2d ports. I'll go with "Sam Kim"

I agree its nice to have more advanced games but this looks like a PSP title.

They should understand that while Arcade limits the size of the game, they can still use polygonal detail, texture tiling, detail textures and shaders to do great things.. unlike this game.

Well there's only so much XBLA game developers can do since there is a limit on the size of them, I think 60MB.

Also, arcade developers get no funding.

Anyway, this page lists this game as 'Street Race NYC'... shouldn't it be 'Street Trace NYC' ? O_O

You're correct, we had the right name in the database but I wrote the wrong thing in the news.

What's up?
  • Slabs
Slabs Infantry in FFOW is alright as long as you're a bazooka dude. (2 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: I played the demo long time ago :P Any for me Dice > IW, the only great game IW made was Medal of Honor Allied Assualt and that's it. I don't care about them, never will! (3 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yea but you also said the infantry combat in FFOW was good.. and it blows :P (6 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @digi_matrix: yea the demo I played was awful...but that was single player. I was in the beta for WaW and didn't like it...felt like counter strike + unreal tournament (movement is too fast) (8 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @digi_matrix: Controls... better... Halo? Does not compute. (9 minutes ago)
  • Burglarize
Burglarize Definitely agree on the Counterstrike comment. Damn I used to love that game. Ruined my sleeping pattern for the entirety of my school life. (10 minutes ago)
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix @GriftGFX: thank god it CoD doesn't play like BF, because CoD is shit. The only good thing about it is controls, which are better in Halo anyways. Trolling ftw! (12 minutes ago)
