Microsoft also announced an XNA Creator section of the Marketplace, where the users will be able to try out upcoming XNA created games - for free! First out here is a video of the USA-created JellyCar. Update: Added some gameplay for the very funny Little Gamers. Update 2: Next up is the Dodgeball game; Rocketball. Update 3: And here is the garden simulator rising, Culture. Update 4:The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai gets its own video. What an awesome game!
Quoting Microsoft press release: · “JellyCar.” Created by Walaber from the United States, this game is about driving a squishy car through squishy worlds, trying to reach the exit.
· “Little Gamers.” This is a 2-D high definition action side-scroller based on the famous Web comic “Little Gamers” created by Loïc Dansart, a 24-year-old software developer from Belgium.
· “Dishwasher.” An intense 2-D action platform game created by James Silva from the United States, “Dishwasher” has a unique, highly stylized look and fast and fluid action.
· “TriLinea.” This puzzle game created by Edison S. Prata Jr., Renato Pelizzari da Silva and Davi da Silva Prata from Brazil mixes fast-paced action with strategy.
· “RocketBall.” Created by Tyler Wanlass, Patrick Murty and Todd Barrons of the United States, this neighborhood game of dodgeball explodes onto the street with fast-paced multiplayer action.
· “ProximityHD.” This game, created by Brian Cable from the United States, takes the essence of strategy games — battles for control of territory and armies — and distills it down to a simple, easy-to-understand set of rules for casual players.
· “Culture.” Created by independent game development company Hidden Path Entertainment from the United States, “Culture” contains challenging games and puzzles based on beautiful flowers.
Wow that jellycar is a bit of a copycat of that superb PC motocross game but at the same time its the only arcade game I'd totally buy if it were made available. It actually makes use of the hardware on offer with the funny physics!
edit: found XNA launcher on marketplace under new arrivals -> games -> scroll down to 24th entry. If MS actually made these XNA demos freely available like this as standard it would be a fabulous thing. The general public is completely oblivious to XNA, as they should be, but MS isnt making good use of it PR wise.

Oh great my 360 just had to give me the darn RROD the 20th, and now I could have tested these games out, I'm really liking the way the Dishwasher looks. guess I'll have to borrow my bro's 360 till I get my new one back, my 360 is a launch system so I was kinda expecting it to break down rather soon anyway..just not right now.
Oh and keep up releasing these awesome quality videos they're the best on the net
ok theirs definitly a few dgood ones so far, dishwasher has style and looks wicked i hope he does a few chapters at least.....
culture isn't my style but the designer had some wicked design skills
rocketballs got good graphics but kinda silly game but still silly works my brother would play it for sure if they have xbl multiplayer it would be wicked.
and by far the only one that really suprised me was jellycar its so silly and simple i love it it made me crack up laughing at the sound effects, the concept of growing and shrinking the car is wicked, if he can build on it and make like underpasses and stuff to duck under and shrink and then stuff like that i'd love to see where it goes.
i see their time limited though will they be uncapping them or is that the choice of the developer? cause some of these games i can see being featured ones that people will really like longterm like dishwasher
i tell you what, i would pay atleast 40 bucks for Dishwasher. That game is awesome. Like the other person said, i like Jelly car too, just wouldnt pay for it(but id cop if someone gave me the points to cop it.lol). I like little gamers too.
dishwasher is by far the best out of the bunch. very good game, i dont know if i'd buy it (yet to buy any of the overpriced crap on XBLA yet) but it is very well made.

Steam's friend list system is pain in the ass. I never remember what name you need to use. So I usually just use community tabs search... (3 Hours ago)

EDIT: Beaten by a Ninja named Manager...twice! It was in his original post too!

Jelly car is kind of cool, not something people would pay for. I like the sound effects, and the physics reminds me a lot of locoroco.
