An other Namco Bandai games is the surprise The Dark Pictures which will be composed of several totally independent stories. The first is called Man of Medan, and you can see the entire demo on Gamersyde.
better shadows, smoother performance, better hair lighting, higher quality assets. PC version is also going to support ray-trace lighting and reflections.
the game seems very alike Until Dawn in visuals, minus the more rough lip sinch and the try hard facial capture if missing the point, was a bit more impressive/solid. Maybe they don't have acess to the same type of "Avatar" rigs to capture? And if it looks so similar, is this using the Guerrila's Engine? On a multiplatform game? That would be a first for sony "exclusiveness will never get a port anywhere, EVER!"stance, since... the phyre engine?
There are actually quite a few mistaking this for using UD's engine. Youtube, dualshockers, and this place too. So That speaks for itself right there. Of course the original team is working on it, making the transition seamless. UE4 has plenty of praise from all kinds of devs. Plus UE4 supports ray-trace lighting and reflections. Nuff said.
After viewing multiple playthroughs of this, the mo-cap actor for brad over compensates quiet a bit. The animations are smooth. The transitions are vey realistic. The acting performance for some of the characters, It's alright. It can be pretty convincing.
I think the actors should show more natural expressions, In their situations. Aposed to more body and facial articulation. I like the parts where they show muscle movement in the faces. The actors should retain their muscle expressions in the scenes.
More muscle movement, less actor over compensation.
