I'm having a malfunction lately where the low quality video streams aren't playing and just continually load. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it's been happening for a day or two

Yeah our partner changed some stuff last night, it will work again sometimes today.

Why is the buffering system changed? Can't watch the embedded video bc of the lousy buffering. LQ lets you download the whole video "hq" doesn't, what's the reasoning behind this?

Earlier you allowed dling the whole video before watching it on embedded...

edit: neither let you "pause and download" anymore. This blows on slower connections.
why change to this from a better system?

Either that or I can change a setting here.....exactly where?

I don't know exactly what you are talking about, but I've had had bad experiences with the streaming this past week too, including today.

Hopefully Better explanation:

Earlier, like a month ago I could open the streams and the videos would load from start to end.

Now, opening a stream buffers the video for a certain amount, say 4mb and then it just waits (as in buffer is 100%) and when you start watching the video, buffer dramatically drops to 0% in a matter of seconds. Then you have to buffer again.

edit: I bet this is some "fix" to get the streams working as it won't strain the bandwidth as much. :P BlimBlim I demand a cookie!

edit2: The streams seem entirely "broken" to me atm as in you can stream, but you can't watch 3secs and buffer, 3secs and buffer etc. good luck to those with faster speeds, bet it works like a charm now. :P

I'm bitter.

Yeah but now you can change to LQ right from the streaming player, the LQ link will simply be removed as soon as I have some time.

I have to say (maybe it's just my computer), but the LQ link at the bottom is still really handy. Even when I hit LQ within the video stream, because of the video size my computer still has trouble running it. When I click the link at the bottom it runs better.

I guess that's okay. I more or less come here for the conversation now. I just can't watch the larger format, especially with the ads
I am probably one of the few here with a slow comp that's going on it's 5th year

I saw this issue raised somewhere else but I can't find it now. I can't seem to stream videos at all anymore. I just get the flashing green progress bar in the middle of the video and then nothing happens.

STILL didn't work at all. Get that knight rider stuff. Is it loading the whole video? Should I wait? Is this not actual 'streaming'?
Blim will probably have a better answer about this anyway, so we'll wait for him.

Try dumping the temp files, or just raise the limit.

Never worked for me, but hey, you never know.

Try emptying your browser's cache. If it doesn't change anything, disable any ad blocking program and let me know if it fixed the problem.
