Hi i have just joined this web site:) but when i stream the movies of games etc i do not get any sound:( what am i missing on my pc as everything else seems to work.

Some videos don't have sound because they were filmed at game conventions.

Ah that will explain it then as all the vids i have been looking at are from games show in Germany:) been nice even to hear something though!!! Thanks for the welcome:)

Yeah I agree, it's even better to have background noise than absolute silence but I guess it makes it easier for them (encoding etc) to leave it out if it isn't all that significant anyway.

It's hard to complain about anything here, especially when looking at the crappy quality vids you get at GT for instance, and all the hard work they put into it here (trips, long nights, etc). But, I'd still prefer any sound over no sound at all. ;P

Oh, and looking at all the questions regarding this...perhaps a little disclaimer wouldn't hurt.

Yea but sound requires extra bandwidth, if there is no way to hear whats going on its best for them to save the bandwidth and ours too by removing the sound completely :)

Phaeton: would that be a compilation, or do you have such fantastic bowels as to be able to fart for 30 consistent minutes? At any rate, 30 minutes of farting would become a viral. Everybody would listen and be amazed. Like five million hits on youtube in a day.
