No other player will look the same, play the same.

But I wouldnt say Mass Effect has deep character customization though, it was alot, but still limited at some parts.

Too Human has tons of more customization in the weapons, armor department that its just crazy, not only that but also through DLC there will be more.

You can't compare Mass Effect to Too Human, the gameplay is way different.

Besides, I don't think Dyack want to "top" Mass Effect because its a different type game.

I would like to say Too Human is more like Hellgate: London, aside from the first person view in that game and heavy weapon customization.
TBH i see them both as action RPG's since thats what they both are. they may differ slightly in terms of their core mechanics, but at the end of the day they both have real time combat with RPG customisation and an in-depth story. for me their about as comparable as you can get. only one has really mediocre looking combat.

I definitely think customization in Mass Effect was very tame when even compared to KOTOR, let alone some of Bioware's other RPG's. The comparison is very valid, despite the games different goals.

That's actually a pretty apt association. Hellgate: London also has a third person view (all melee combat, which probably accounts for most of the game, is third person) and a huge variety of weapons and a very deep item customization system.. maybe more complex/deeper than Too Human's.

Is it Mass Effect? :P
Just joking :)

From the gameplay videos of Hellgate London I have seen it reminds me of Too Human at some point. I haven't played it or paid so much attention to that game, but that is just what I see.

As i stated before you are just a passenger for the Too Human story, you have no direct interaction with how the stroy plays out or direct interaction and squad members or npcs, you have no say in how the story plays out. In Mass Effect you take part in the story, make decisions that change how the game plays out, and npc's see and react to you, you can also talk to your squad and npc's and explore the lives and backstories, you play your character how you wish to play him badass / kind or any variant in between. Too Human story pulls you along much like COD4 as a rails experience.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that dcdelgado.

I thought the story of COD4 was brilliant. It's important to point out that if the story is compelling and intriguing, a 'rails experience' isn't such a bad thing at all.

Hopefully the story of Too Human will be of the same experience as Bioshock, COD4 etc.

Plenty of RPG's have linear stories though.. they're still both action RPG's and one of the fundamental parts of an RPG is customization.. and area where Bioware gave us a pretty light load.

GRIFT:

I disagree i found the customization in Mass Effect very deep, for me the most important rpg aspect is story interaction, this is why Kotor1/2 and Mass Effect and oblivion are my fav rpg's.

At no point did i say a rails experience is a bad thing, i love those type of games also, when the story is great.

From videos, Too Human looks nothing like Hellgate. Hellgate has an extremely lame story with mind numbingly boring combat. The combat in Too Human actually looks pretty decent and at least involving. Hellgate tricks you into thinking that you are participating in real-time combat when you really aren't.

No TH is more like KUF:COD, expect you have better customization and it has a much better story.

Its a shame the character customization, ie the look & sex of the character isn't changable in this game though, I think ME is the best example of that I have seen in a game to date.

The principals are the same. They're calling this the new Diablo in Gamepro--which is exactly what Hellgate: London intended to be.

You can disagree all you want, but customization is one of Bioware's "four pillars" of game design, and compared to their other RPG's it's pretty light on customization, especially when it comes to item variety and upgrade paths. If you love KOTOR and ME, you should really consider giving some of Bioware's older RPG's a try. You'd probably enjoy them a great deal.

The point, I think, was that both ME and Too Human are action RPG's, and in that sense I think the comparisons are totally valid. I wouldn't say that Too Human is "what Mass Effect should have been," but it certainly aims to push one of those pillars further than ME, even if it is at the expense of another.

And i'll continue to disagree, as i and some gameing sites that reviewed Mass Effect agree that the overall customization was deep, could it have been deeper of course, but so could oblivion and other next-ger rpg's out there.

New video
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31138.html

This video bored me.

Either the player sucks ass with the analog, or the character is like level 1, or it's just the way it is.

My theory, option 1 or 2.

The other videos looked more interesting and better compared to this.

A mix of both i would say, because its obvious whoever was playing in that video has just picked up the controller and played for the very first time (or he's just crap :) ), plus at level one you have very few combat moves.
