And yes, Doom 4 has been announced.
Down with ugly color schemes, and dull uninspired visuals! :D But, this engine looks fantastic. Isn't it 60FPS as well? I love iD. Thank you for using color.

I'm not even sure if Wolfenstein is going to be id tech 5.. and I don't even care. I'm positive that Raven could make a stunning Wolfenstein game on id tech 4 if they put the effort into it. I just can't wait to see it.. YAY!

That makes it sound like that segment would debut on Spike.. if that's the case is there anyway to tell when it is going to air?

The thread title annoys me. It's "id," not "ID," and it's "id tech 5," not "TECH5!" ;)

I guess that's why we haven't seen it yet, id probably wanted to debut their first id tech 5 footage before Raven.

Man.. the PC gaming line up for 2008 into 2009 was already awesome prior to the announcements we've seen over the last few weeks/months. I love it. I could probably play out the rest of this generation purchasing very few games for my consoles. I probably won't but I could!

Every major multiplatform release between now and the years end I hope to play on the PC.. except for those titles which wouldn't make sense to, or won't be available.

COD4 is like, overpopulated with noobs.. I guess every game where you're not a noob feels that way though. Last night I went back to BF2, and I still felt like there was a lot of pretty horrible players around.. even though I'm horribly rusty and not as good at BF as COD anyway. I actually like playing TF2 every once in a while because I'm the noob there, and it's fun to feel challenged like that, every once in a while :)

Game Informer - Aug 2008 World Premiere is Wolfenstein (360, PS3, PC)
* Pub: Activision, Dev: Raven Software/ID Software
* Takes place in WWII against Nazi's fully dabbling in the occult
* BJ (the hero) will also make use of supernatural powers.
* Game gives you a city in which the game takes place. Missions and quests take you through different parts. As you complete quests, more of the city opens up. Kind of a non-linear path.
* Set piece and randomly generated activity block your path.
* There is an AI resistance force that will assist you during the game at times. Think of the resistance forces in MGS4 I guess?
* You will also enter "The Shroud", an alternate reality version of the city. A dimension in which the Nazi's are drawing power from.

That sounds great.. what's with the August 2008 stuff though? I thought GTTV hinted that we'd see this game next week.. and with QuakeCon coming at the end of July, wouldn't it make sense to show it in depth there?
