A good Shenmue sequel would cost too much money. They'd rather pour out average games and get mediocre profits than take a big gamble. Plus it'd be a good idea. Sega hasn't had one of those in years.

I don't think Sega has good financial security anymore. They don't give their games the development time they used to and they're just continually sinking. There was a time where you could be excited for any game they were doing because their run of excellence was so good.
It could also be because of all the talent that broke off years ago as well.

Sega lost thier balls when they dropped out of the console hardware market. It's a shame really I miss the good old SEGA days. OH and Shemnue 3 FTW.... someday maybe if there still around in the future.
