LOL. AI in this game is very lame and game is not challenging or hard in battles coz
1) all items such as ammo, medicine and expolives are RESPAWN in 1 sec!
2) all enemies dies in 2-3 sec with aerosol+cigarette lighter and u have this very much in the levels+item respawn!
I think this is most feeble enemies in history of horror games

game is not challenging - it is totally buged
I am in episode 4 now. Race with bats is shit. My car is stucking in the objects every time. LOL.

surely if he's complaining about the game having crap AI and net being challenging he actually want the game to have good AI and be challenging? why would that make him a super-noob.

He was being a huge douchebag in the NG2 thread by calling everyone noobs who complained about the horrible camera and the ubiquitous cheapness(even though pretty much all of the reviews agree)...as if pointing out a game's flaws somehow means you just aren't good at the game.

I actually cancelled my preorder a few days before release and decided I would rent it instead. it's just not looking that good with all the reviews, a 7/10 from eurogamer should be enough for me to warrant a buy but I am still not convinced.

A few days before E3, I caved in and bought the game (it wasnt that expensive, I got it for £20) - having thoroughly enjoyed the previous installments despite their many flaws, I thought I would do this time around too but boy was I wrong!

Let me tell you this AitD is by far the most f****** frustrating game EVER!. What were the designers thinking ??? It's like they want you to be frustrated .... Aweful, aweful aweful control system and an even more awful camera ... This is a pity really, the atmosphere and music are fantastic and the story is definately VERY VERY interesting but the game is simply broken ......... such a waste.

I will still try and play it, there is something good there but by the gods, the designers of this game should be kicked in the balls!

There out of my chest. I feel better now. Seriously, this is frustration and not entertainment - this shouldnt be called a game. I know it seems I am contradicting myself here but the other elements of the game are really well done that it makes you want to cry that they plagues with such issues that render it almost UNPLAYABLE ... pity, pity..... :(

I am still waiting for a patch before I continue playing, it is just not in a playable state ... interestingly the driving sequences are also very bad, I cannot believe this is from the makers of Test Drive Unlimited ... maybe Atari just wanted to ship ...

That where I got pissed beyond belief ... I must have tried the escape sequence like 40 times and everytime, I die because of some random thing....

Alone in the Dark is the bigest disapoint for 2008 and not Too Human. Oh man, I can stand up with the game, it should have been renamed for "Alone with the Bugs".

Whis is really too bad. The atmosphere is brilliant and there are SOME innovative ideas for puzzles. If this had a control system as fluid as Resident Evil, I would definately rank it up there with the best of the best .... They blew their ideas unfortunately.

Ok, this game is really starting to hit the sweet spot of enjoyment despite its many flaws.

There are simply some BRILLIANT Ideas and it seems to me that the complexity of the cotrol system was the product of going for more realism which let me tell you, is a fine fine achievement (realism, that is not the control system :D ).

The control scheme has obviously put off a lot of people (and for good reason, they are not to blame) but I kept going and I must say, this is a totally new experience now. If you're willing to look past its many flaws, there is a geniunely a brilliant game underneath. I'm glad I stuck with it - Story is shaping up real nice too. Music, still top notch.
