The Coalition's title may be uneven in terms of graphics (the second open area disappointed us greatly)

Truthbomb. Great heights, uneven with lows.

 and a bit dated when it comes to certain aspects of its gameplay (why the A button is still used for running is beyond us), 

- Hell no, thumbstick click can die in a dumpster fire.

Too bad coalition is stuck with the Gears world. all its juice has been long gone milked in everyway possible from a creative point that makes sense. Just like Killzone and every other IP where the story/characters are just expected noise inbetween the killing loop.

I was a fan of Gears 1 back then but playing Gears 5 and seeing nothing has really changed after all this time except graphics I just got bored real quick after two chapters and quit

Gears 5 is not even the best of UE (before jumping to the possibilities of "next gen") example on current gen, even on PC with max settings. Jedi fallen and the latest Gotham Knights are much better presentations, and there is still room for more in terms of raw power being utilized of the PS4/XBone.

...aaand none runs at flawless 60fps on the same Hardware.

Yeah it is pretty uneven visually. I am towards the end of the second act, and the mountainous landscape is pretty poly starved.

It doesn't matter the performance (Even though they all 60fps on PC), as I was referring to the fidelity variation between the titles on all platforms, not how smoothly it runs.

Have you not read my comment? I'm comparing art with art, regardless to the performance. 60fps will not make Gears 5 artistically more impressive than the titles mentioned.

Isn't the Xbox version supposed to have Global Illumination exclusive to it? I've seen some very recent screenshots where you can see the difference. I look forward to comparing it to my PC version.
