Wii has been supply constrained since December, not surprising after selling 3.8m units in one month :) 360 bump is impressive though, not sure what caused it. Better than usual software for this time of year?

yeah, the numbers remind of the September warm up before the Christmas period lol. I think we'll see even larger numbersin March with FF13, God of War 3....etc possibly the PS3 winning the month though the 360 FF13 bundle might surprise a few. I hear the game has sold 450k in the first day in the US (290k for PS3 and 160k for 360 according to vgchartz)

2. Pokemon Soul Silver – DS – 1.02M
3. Final Fantasy XIII – PS3 – 828.2K
4. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – Xbox 360 – 825.5K
5. Pokemon Heart Gold – DS – 761.2K
6. Final Fantasy XIII – 360- 493.9K
7. New Super Mario Bros. Wii – Wii – 457.4K
8. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – PS3- 451.2K
9. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board – Wii -429.6K

God of War 3 wins the software race. What I find shocking though is that the PS3 didnt outsell the 360 despite two huge releases like the exclusive God of War 3 and Final Fantasy XIII being a name associated with the platform.

assassins creed 1 was a fail in my eyes, sold well but as a game its was basic and needed much tinkering with, 2nd one cleaned it up nicely

Very much agree with this,I freaking love AC2 but hated AC,its like the people who made the first didnt knew how to make a fun game LOL

I dotn see how FFXIII is a failure in those numbers,it sold pretty nice even on 360.

I just think people expected a heavy hitter like FF to sell more. I mean...FF is probably seen as a veritable behemoth by some (the fans). Some people were probably expecting GTA-numbers.

FF13 is already on target to beat the sales of FF12 by the way. Also, as far as I know, NONE of the Final Fantasy games have sold more than 10 Million copies worldwide. Right now, each iteration is averaging around 5-6 million. Before, the average was around 8 million per iteration except the games of the First Playstation where sales were standing at 3-4 Million per iteration.

PS: in here I am only talking about the full fledged Final Fantasy games, none of the spin offs and remakes except for FF X-2 which is kind of a full fledged Final Fantasy title anyway.

I wouldnt say, it sucks though. It was good but it had quite a few major flaws, the most prominent are level design (corridors & absence of towns) and lack of variety in combat despite have a rather very well implemented system. Other than that, for me personally, I was compelled enough to continue throughout my 60 hours journey. Once you finish it though, there simply is no REPLAY value AT ALL (Didnt care much for those missions)

I actually didnt play X-2 so wouldnt know but I am actually suprised at this. I will go check out a few videos of FF X-2.

paradgrims were nothing more than "change clothes" they gave you control of 1 instead of 3 characters and made the battle system real time and fast as possible, both the same as x-2 but in x-2 it was 1 move a time, but the bar was so fast later on it was almost constant battling with no luls.
