I think there is bias in your opinon on graphics also, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Final Fantasy 13, Star Ocean 4, Resident Evil 5 and Tales Of Vesperia (just a handful of games)all look great graphically, yea they may not meet your paticular artistic preferences but they are all still "next-gen" in quality.
But they don't sell in Japan, that's my main point.. The "value" that sells overthere these days is in my eyes is just oldfashioned mainly handheld stuff.. It's happening overhere aswell, with all the Wii and DS succes etc, but atleast we in the West are still buying true next-gen games in big numbers aswell..

MGS isnt that popular over there actually. far more popular over here. it's one of those cases of a eastern developer catering for the western audience.

391k for feb on the 360 thats good, not sure what gave it the hardware bump in sales though?

KZ2 did not really move the hardware for the ps3 like Sony had hoped and the software sales seem pretty poor also, i know this only counts for the 3days in feb it was on sale, but what happend to the million pre-orders?

What happened to the credit crunch? those are pretty solid numbers all around, KZ2 software sales are not as good as expected but then on the Hardware side i never really expected it to be a system seller.

The first two days are definitely the major ones. Pre-order pick ups especially. I'm sure it will have legs but ideally you want the bulk of your sales to come at full price (which LBP really didn't do)

I did enjoy the "lol Halo Wars didn't even chart FAIL" idiots in the GAF thread though.

Halo wars just missed the feb npd cut off, so will be in the March npd, and MS are touting 1million worldwide sales of Halo Wars making it the best selling RTS on any console ever, so not bad if you ask me.

That was my point, the deflection of attention from Killzone to a game that wasn't even covered by the report.

Personally I have purchased neither game, probably won't until I can get 'em cheap.

not hard to sell a million with the halo name on it tho. im sure even a master chief golf game would sell well over a million...lol

(btw, i'm not saying it's the only reason it sold well, the games really good. but it definately made it sell better then it would have if it was a new IP)

Holy crap at the almost 1million sold RE5 on the 360 alone in a month in just the US thats more than most AAA next gen titles released, guess the coop addition and balls to wall action helped after all :), its a shame that kz2 has such crap sales for the month the game deserves more for its efforts.

Halo Wars (Mar) > Killzone 2 (Feb/Mar)

Sony have failed miserably with their marketing. I would suggest their fanbase on places like GAF didn't help either.
