Looks a pretty hefty upgrade to me. Compared to 2018, better LoD, more geometric detail, better AA, lighting refined...2018 looked a bit rough, if promising.

Whats with the worse quality (1080p) compared to youtube?
I only come to Gamersyde because of the higher quality and download options you provide for your videos.

Agreed. Not sure what some people are seeing? Have there been some redesigns and tweaks? Absolutely. Most I like and think are improvements. In order to have crowd density close to what was shown in the 2018 demo I'm sure there were compromises made with polygon count, LOD etc.

The 2018 demo was never supposed to see the light of day, it wasn't meant for public viewing yet CDPR gave in because of fan demand and the very positive feedback they received from demo attendees otherwise there wouldn't be anything to compare to except 2019 Deep Dive video.

There are already a bunch of graphic comparison videos using E3 2018, 2019 Deep Dive, TGS, Russian special ver. of NCW and the various NCW eps. and it's quite apparent (to myself and many others) there have been upgrades and improved redesigns.

certainly, no one would have expected otherwise, however, juxtaposed with the original vision (wall-running, flying cars, 2013 reveal), one can clearly see there's been a noticeable downgrade in terms of the visual style, art direction, and possibly gameplay mechanics.

This game is going to be huge and not just die off a month after release like all the latest exclusives, isn't it?

1.) It's been in development, as in full production since summer of 2016 (full team), it also went through multiple iterations, from what I heard full reboots hence what we see today is the 2015/16 version.

2.) Flying cars are in the game, you are just not able to pilot them.

3.) 2013 CGI reveal trailer was a concept, largely created by one person's vision, giving instruction from CDPR.Of course the art style and aesthetics are different.

4.) Personally don't care about wall running. It was more being able to latch onto a wall with the Mantis Blades. I think some comments made were taking as fact/absolution, while others made were well intended but the devs had their reasons to not include them. Looking at the city, the complexity and verticality I get why they decided against it, probably was a nightmare trying to implement.

You're entitled to your opinions, however, going by the points you've made, I have to disagree.

HR2 has a point about the gerenal downgrade, not compare to the CGI but to the first in-engine trailer back in 2018. You can clearly tell the assets are superior. That doesn't take away the accomplishment In terms of scale to density ratio this project has, which is the most impressive in history.

Despite the changes, cuts and "downgrades", there also looks to be some pretty significant visual upgrades at least; this video shows comparisons between the 2018, 2019 & 2020 footage:

Now this is a point well made. I surely don't want the game to resemble Mirror Edge Catalyst in its worst aspects, which will likely happen when wall runs are allowed in an open world as such.

Ah, so that's why. Wasn't looking at resolution, so just downloaded blindly like usual and started watching and noticed right away that something is off, the ones on YT are way clearer. Kinda defeats the purpose of the site.

Thank you. I agree with your post. To be honest, I don't even remember when wall-running was mentioned? Only thing we ever witnessed in-game was hanging from a wall, which admittedly was and would've been cool. I personally think it was a bit too much of a headache to put in the game.

They have never said we could climb buildings e.g. AC, Spider-man etc. Though there are people expecting this, hopefully not too many for their sake, CDPR and the fans not worried about that since you know there will be those running to the internet to complain once they realize this
.
We know there's mantling, might be some minor parkour and I do think with double jump and so on we will have some form of traversing the city with the emphasis on verticality, but I do not expect 3/4 of the city to be traversable from top to bottom. If it is I'll be pleasantly surprised, and impressed.

Lastly, other than Mirror's Edge - Those looking for a Cyberpunk game that has wall-running, look up the game Ghostrunner that's releasing in 4 days.
