I think the smaller personalized squads is a good thing. It also resembles the tabletop games more (Yes I know that's about big armies, but it's also about personalizing and customizing units)

Looks great. Hmm seems like there isn't base building in the MP. Capturing resource points and then upgrading those seems to be the way to get more money. Some turret building seems to be there too. I love base building in RTS games but this seems really interesting.

WOW that looks awesome! And I did see some turrets and "Barracks".
I would almost compare this to Warcraft 3. It's based more on small scale battle's with heroes! Can't wait to get my hands on it.....

* Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1
* AMD Athlon 64×2 4400+ or any Intel Core 2 Duo
* 2 GB RAM (XP and Vista)
* A 256MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900, or equivalent
* 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space
Site has minimum requirements too for those who are interested. Also tomorrow is some news about DoW 2 beta and how to get in. I also heard rumour that demo is coming pretty soon too...

I have been playing a bit DoW 1 now that I got the game and it's great stuff. I can't wait for this new game.

I have never played Dawn of War, but I've played CoH. Is the gameplay very similar?

Both games have resource nodes to capture and then use of cover system. I could say that games are pretty similar but different at the same time :P I am not really that sure how is the whole game because DoW 2 is so much different from the original game (based on what I have read). Only thing I can say is where is the demo, I want it now!

The beta will be hosted via Steam and offered exclusively to Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War - Soulstorm owners on January 21, followed by a worldwide public release on January 28. The beta will feature all four playable races, five multiplayer maps, and Microsoft’s Games for Windows - LIVE TrueSkill Matchmaking.
Sounds good to me. Although matchmaking is stupid. I hope there is server lists in full game and this is just to test the system out for now.

That's why I finally feel a justifiable need to get a new pc. I've been on this PC since the first Farcry came out;

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ
512 MB RAM
Nvidea Gforce FX5200

I know it's from the Stone Age... I've got problems with running Counter Strike source on a higher display setting than 1024 * 768.....

So I'm going from the Stone Age to the Space Age in one giant leap

(Just so you know this is the family's pc and thus it's also stocked to the brim with crap (software wise) and I just can't stand it anymore)

In addition to more frequent patches, Ebbert also revealed that the studio plans to deliver a steady stream of free downloadable content for legitimate buyers, inspired by Valve's numerous game-expanding updates to releases such as Team Fortress 2.

Ebbert added: "We want to give out steady doses of free downloadable content because we believe in rewarding people who buy the game and the reason we don't like DRM solutions is because they punish the innocent and they have to jump through all these hoops...we're going with the approach that Valve pioneered to just reward the people who actually bought the game with cool stuff. Take off Empire :P Was delayed to March last i heard, because of something they will launch post release. Will allow people play campaign in multiplayer with a friend. (awesome stuff :p)

This year is going to rule indeed, but too many games kinda sucks, theres no time to enjoy all fully :)

Anyway good news, love some free stuff. Beta is so close. Lets all meet, so i can pwn you all (in my dreams lol :P)
