Don't let yourself to be too carried away with all the hype the magazines are creating with such statements or you may still be a bit dissapointed despite the game being great :)

That advice, as good as it actually is, just goes right through me. I always get myself too hyped up for games I'm excited about but, luckily for me, I don't usually come out of it disappointed. I'm not over-the-top excited for Dragon Age anyway; I just think that it's going to be a very good game - well, if the reviews are anything to go by.

Besides, it's Bioware. They rarely fail to deliver.

Dragon Age Journeys site was launched yesterday. Seems like a decent flash game - my work computer was having problems running it smoothly so I'll play it at home :)

Also, gametrailers has some new rogue videos in HD quality.

I played it for a bit earlier, and it's actually pretty awesome for a (free) flash game - it's even got achievements to unlock.

So that was the big news? oh well guess the same date as the other platforms in the US is cool for the ps3 DA fans, hopfully the issues they had HAVE all bee fixed, as this game is looking like its going to be a long epic ride.

ok the main theme of review is how cool are characters, dialogs, gameplay, grafics and AI customization. And they said that Bioware cut almoust all bad things in old school rpgs. They said the only one bad thing in the game is no progress bar in loading screens)))) They said the game is THAT good=)
Verdict - 100% "This is not Baldur's Gate rebirth. This is BETTER"
also they said DAO quality is unique incident for their magazine

PLUS! I found one more thing - this is the very first 100% they gave to a game in 7 years of their magazine! WOW!
Also my boss playing the game righ now. He said that the story really amazed him and grafics on pc looks very cool.

"Game has - looooot of text, hardcore tactical combat system, all dialogs are dubed(144 voice actors), emotions(!!!)
Game has not - bugs, stupid quests, seamless world(they mean it has world map with destination points, not oblivion -like world) and open nudity sex scenes(sorry for my shitty eng)

Story - 10/10
Gameplay - 9/10
Grafics - 8/10
Music/Sound - 10/10

Verdict - 9/10
This game has so many text, so even without the novels U will have a lot to read. This game has so many puzzles, so you will forgive small technical shortages. This is the truly game of BioWare. Quality comes at the cost of quantity. There are not as many Side-quests like in Mass Effect for example.
- Tactical combat: very exciting, tactical battles
- Presentation of the story: film-like cut-scenes. Great conversations. Characters you really care about and which will stay in the players mind even long after the game is beaten.
- Beautiful locations

Cons:
- Graphics: One can clearly see that the game was in development for like 5 years. On the other hand graphics are very coherent (they call it the "WoW-Factor") especially in cut-scenes and conversations.
- Linearity: The game is more linear than BG2. There is very little Exploration. In most areas you can only go from A to B without any sideways ("hose-levels").
- Silent PC
- Too few items: there are only a hand full Weapons and Armors in the game (although you can enhance them individually with runes)

Overall the campaign takes 30-40 hours divided in roughly: (= meaning main story length)
- 40% fights
- 30% cut-scenes and conversations
- 20% Character-management (leveling up and so on)
- 10% Exploration

92% (third highest RPG score of all time)
Also there's a page with 10 other guys giving their short rating for DA, all of them gave it 5/5.

- Diversified Quests, different solutions possible

Long loadings times is terrible news to me, I'm playing NWN2 now and am annoyed by them, especially once I have to report completing a quest to a NPC. I wish more companies would make a fantastic engine like Bethesda to make the experience much smoother.

I played Vampaire Bloolines on 512 mb ram and there was 5 min loadings., then I bought 2gb ram and it worked - loading times decrease

We both know it's a bullshit answer. Even if it does help in some games (which I seriously doubt), it's still developer's responsibility to make the game as friendly as possible. Many games have acceptable loading times and great environments, I don't see why other games be held for the same standards.
