That is what you get when you take cg cars and reflections and put them in in-game environments...looks pretty different to the FM4 trailer.

Looks really impressive IF the actual game looks like that..tbh, with next gen I don't see why it wouldn't. I just really hope they've FINALLY added weather and day and night cycles.. but I have a feeling i'm gonna be let down there. I do expect the whole Kinect move round and inspect the cars thing though.

Why's it got the forza 3 icon at the start? or am I missing something?

That Icon was also used for FM4. I guess that 'III' is supposed to represent a 'm'.

I guess with Horizon using more or less the same engine, we can take a day night cycle as a given.

We can only hope for weather though. Would be a shame if they still don't have dynamic weather or at least different weather to choose from. The community is asking for it for years!

hm.. that very very high image quality is certainly giving it a bit of a cgi look, although the track assets and probably the car assets should be ingame material

that is pretty dumb, as that isn't a announcemnet or unveling trailer for F3, that was a Livery 2.0 showing, and was told to be CG, as it wasn't altready obvious, os on progress features. The unveling trailer was made in conference with the famous rollover cockpit view.

I like the Prague circuit, even the riding over Charles bridge and most of the old roads in the city is a little funny, because this kind of surface would destroy the cars completely.

Although I don't find anything in the trailer that makes me go "omg cg" I wouldn't be surprised at all when doing actual races, the game didn't look as good as the trailer.

Time and time again both Forza and Gran Turismo have shown that "in-game" footage from the trailers usually ends up looking better than actual in-game footage of races.

Totally agree, not to mention the interior is incredibly badly rendered, lighted and shadowed--typical thing we see T10 do.

Seriously, besides the *outside* modeling of the cars, I don't see anything impressive about this trailer. At the bare minimum I expect this of next gen racing games. Besides they have to tweak things up and go for a more realistic look.

The trailer looks arcadish. Something you would expect Codies grid or EA nfs trailer. Gfx are great but we will know more at E3 with gameplay videos

T10 are not known for good trailers, in fact it's probably the opposite, so I wouldn't worry about that part yet.

Yep, The trailer is clearly so those not into sims would like it, Come E3 we will see F5 in all it's sim glory.

Pfft whole trailer is in photo mode I suspect, I doubt the release game will look this good, I think we have got to a point of dimishing returns with racers anyway there is only so good you can make a car look.

Going forward it will be more about lighting, draw distance and environments.

pre-ordered it, though again, like Watchdogs and most other launch titles, it will be a port from the current gen. only in a few years when we get new titles that are developed from scratch we'll see true improvement. doesn't take away from the fact that Forza is a pretty good franchise. it at least helped me to improve my laptimes IRL on the Nordschleife to under 9 minutes.
