I asked Blim about this and he said something like, to save bandwidth, threads that haven't been posted in for a certain amount of time get bumped off the front page.
I think all you have to do is navigate to the next page and bump something for it to appear on the front.

Yet more proof nobody cares about the Games forum. I think the ultimate way to save bandwidth (since that is the only forum that seems to be affected) is to just get rid of the Games Forum altogether.

Who would miss it?

I'm not really sure what the point of it is. I mean, was it intended to be a section where we could talk about each game specifically? Because, really, each games more or less has its own section on the main forum page anyway.

I agree with PlumbDrumb; it wouldn't really be missed.

yes, it's called the Main Forum.

Last I checked (which was a loooong time ago btw) the French seemed to have kept their version of the Games Forum fairly busy.
Since it was all in French, which I don't speak) I didn't really figure out what they were posting that was different from their Main Forum.
Maybe they know something we don't?

Regardless, the Main Forum is how the English side has evolved, and I think it would be wise to work with it.

In the Games forum, we have a dedicated thread for each game where we mostly comment on the campaign mode and the media that have been released. In the Main Forum we have a PS3 thread, a 360 thread, a PC thread and a Wii thread where we talk about just anything related to each platform (news, images, videos, hardware etc). There are also a few other threads dealing with the interesting sites where games can be purchased at the lowest price for example, or our members' highly anticipated games top list (and there's more, just learn French and have a look :P).

That way, it's pretty easy to find what you need: you want to know more about a game specifically, just go to the dedicated thread, you want to know everything about your console and the latest news about it, go to the main forum.

One thing we don't let people do on the French side, is we don't let people start a thread for just any news that comes out. They can either choose to mention it in the game's thread or in the main forum if there is no thread yet in the games forum. It helps keep the forum clear and easy to use and prevents it from getting messy.

That's not what I said. I said we don't let them start a thread for just any new video or screenshot about a game like here where it grows fatser than mushrooms. Usually they create a thread for a game and then that's the place where everything concerning the game is posted.
