This 'next-gen', 5 years after GT Sport, looks practically the same last-gen.

Forza Horizon 5, an OPEN WORLD game with a 2 year release cycle, looks vastly better than this. Pathetic.

I could say all but the bad fps bit about FH5 to be frank, and FH5 is basically FH4.1
GT7 looks like fine. There are a few things that stand out, but there are things that look great, better than Forza, some worse, some similar.

tomato, tomato, both are atrocious and in no way ahead of the curve.

Regarding graphics they look fine for me but the engine sound has not been improved much. You still recognize the engines by ears only and immediately think "ah these engine are from Gran Turismo". All engines have a sound typical for Gran Turismo. Of course the engine sounds are diverse across all cars but in some way they all have the same characteristic sound which I cannot explain any further. In short I want more realistic engine sounds.

One problem with Polyphony Digital is that they focus very much on details which are not important for the main experience. Things like landscapes, the livery editor or aerodynamics. Of course they are nice to have but it should not be the focus. The devs entangle themselves in details which are not that important.

It would be better to remove the rubber band effect. Fortunately this is available in Gran Turismo Sport but actual implementation is not that much annoying. Also what about dramatic rain effects? In Gran Turismo Sport we only have some light rain on a few courses. Why not implement heavy rain on all courses?

Let's see what Digital Foundry will say when they review Gran Turismo 7 in a few months...

I'm not impressed by the graphics neither. But I find it most important that a game feels great.

Too bad that FH5 is almost unplayable at the moment. There are so many game breaking bugs at the moment :(

A little underwhelmed by the visuals, was hoping that the reflections would finally reflect other cars.

*edit* watching again the reflections on other cars are quite good, looks a little unfinished but they still have quite a bit of time to refine.

I don't believe in this back and forth argument which game graphically is better but you can't be serious. Just take the fanboy hat off for a minute and use your eyes and or glasses. GT7 will probably end up looking graphically better once its completed but at this stage, give me a break. I like what I saw in this GT7 video but the game still needs a lot of work and I am excited to see it once finished and it launches in March.
