Watched it, and I really liked it.

The ending was a bit over the top "weird" but the rest was good.

I would give it a 8/10 because I never got bored with the movie.
It was fun and very entertaining.

But I still prefer 1 and 3, then 4 and then 2.

A fridge surviving a nuclear blast?

Did you not notice the "Lead Lined" sign on the fridge? That would have protected against a nuclear blast.

I haven't seen it yet, but does it actually survive a blast, or a bit of fall-out a good distance away? If it actually survives a blast, then are you joking Mikeey_kakashi?

And it's far from the most over the top moment in the film.. hell it's down right tame.

Not only does it survive the blast, but Indy survives being thrown a mile away from the blast zone. A man of his age at the very least would have a shattered pelvis, broken arms, legs, and a concussion. In fact, the rest of the movie afterwards should have realistically been Indiana Jones and the Retirement Home. Probably would have been more exciting. Could've even had him sneaking into the cafeteria for some extra apple sauce, clutching his hat before the pantry door closed!

that silly Indiana Jones. He could have just used the duck and cover method under one of those tables throughout the house. That would have been more believable, I mean at least that method they taught in school. *Flash* DUCK AND COVER KIDS!

To be honest, the other films had ridiculous as shit survivals too (the raft from a crashing plane thousands of miles in the air)

Airplanes do not fly "thousands of miles in the air"

33,000 feet = 6.25 miles

And people have survived plane crashes. See: LOST ;)

And I never got why Short Round fell through the bridge. I mean, he said it, that was STRONG wood. Clearly, yet he fell through. Completely unrealistic.

Umm...ghosts that melt faces?

I didn't care about any of the crazy stuff. There is some pretty ridiculous stuff in the other films. Still, the whole monkey scene was stupid.

The the thing is, in a movie where ghosts are a reality, them melting faces is less absurd than surviving a nuclear blast in a fridge. I can suspend disbelief regarding certain things and end up being entertained instead of insulted, but it's not always the case.

Nah, the nuke was sorta funny--funnier than the silliness of a fucking flying saucer! The Shia LeTarzan scene was perhaps the most retarded moment in the film though.. outside of Ford's last little bit of dialog in the fucking flying saucer scene. That was just classic Lucas.

Right. So, just ghosts then... I mean, I don't see how they are more believable than aliens. Don't get me wrong, I'm purely defending this on the basis that all of the films have some ridiculous stuff in them, I still hated the martians.

I just find that there are different degrees of what's acceptable and what's ridiculous. The raft bit from Raiders, while unrealistic, is acceptable within the reality that the movie creates for me. The fridge bit just crosses the line though. Some people just have different thresholds for what is entertaining and what is insulting.

This isn't necessarily the case here, but I get really super annoyed when people let anything go in a movie without questioning it as long as the movie features at least one thing fantasy or sci-fi related.

Sweet Jesus. That was absolutely terrible. It was actually worse than The Mummy.

Almost everything was poorly done, nonsensical, laughable, and/or insulting. The only people I respect less than the makers of this atrocity are the people that actually fucking liked it. I swear, not an ounce of thought went into this train wreck.

Shia was good at least.

Sure, stupid shit happened in previous Indy flicks, but not on such a large scale. And the charm that made the stupid shit forgivable in the previous movies was completely absent...at least when it wasn't being forced.

Tuesdays are cheap movie nights at $4.20, and I feel I paid way too much.

Like I said before, if this had different names and faces attached to it, people would be much more willing to see for themselves the stupid shit that they were being subjected to. Even most critics openly admit in their reviews that nostalgia saved this movie for them. Blame Lucas, he's a fucking hack.. and I say that.. being a total fan.

Just STOP George.

I think the nostalgia is what hurt the movie(in addition to it just being downright bad). If it had different names and faces, I could've just written it off as an attempt at an entertaining popcorn flick. Unfortunately, it basically took the Indiana Jones name and dragged it through the mud.

There was far too many things that were ridiculous to mention all of em, but one thing off the top of my head that made me actually burst out laughing was the Mayans in the temple towards the end. Is their only job to hide in these tight little SEALED cubby holes for hundreds of years waiting for someone to return the skull? I also laughed pretty hard when Cate Blanchett's character walked into the room with the 13 alien skeletons and for NO damn reason blurts out something about them having a hive mind. Impressive powers of perception/deduction you have there... Stupid fucking movie.

I enjoyed it as a movie, some of the scenes (especially the motorcycle chase and the car chase) gave me the old Indy feeling.

The whole aliens, nuclear blast and tarzan imitation were just so over the top and really bothered me...

Enjoyable film, just the worst Indy in the series..
And if Lucas even thinks about making another Indiana movie with or without Harrison, we need to slap the spit out of his mouth...
