There is a demo on psn. Deleted it before even finish. Shit ran soo badly on base ps4 and it doesn't help that they haven't touched the controls and camera work from the old game. Overall kinda rough.

Controls and gameplay haven't aged well , graphics on Pro are mediocre at t best .Played the demo ,deleted and surely not a purchase in this one .Its only a handful of platformers from that era that can stand up to today 's standards .This one would do much better in a platform like switch and for a price of nomore than 10 bucks

I dont get why people give this game so much hate. The graphics/style and performance is just as with 'Spyro Reignited Trilogy' and the 'Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy' and they run just fine - on Pro anyway.
Played this demo and loved it. I'm sure the final game is way worth the 30 bucks!

It’s because the game runs like shit on base PS4, despite looking mediocre visually. Like there’s really no excuse a game this bad looking should be pushing the base PS4 to a point that it has constant frame rate drops.

As for the game on the pro, it does run ok. And it feels about the same as the crash and spyro remakes as far as how dated they feel to play. But i’m not sure Medievil was ever held to as high regard as those games were even back in the day. The fact it’s only a remake of the first game and not both is a little bit insulting too imo.

I mean, it’s cool it exists for those interested, and it’s surprising how much it feels like a pre-cursor to the souls games, but I don’t see this setting the charts on fire like crash did. Mostly because it never did in the first place. I honestly think something like a twisted metal remake would have made for a more popular release.

At least Medievil has lovely music, for what it matters.
