Of course he will deny but here's hoping all the rumours are indeed unfounded. want to be surprised and sony should feel free to call my bluff on the slim PS3 too.

if it was the same logo it would use the same typeface. which it isnt using.

The weight of the original is why I doubt they will do a slim version, unless the heat output of the chips has significantly decreased then they will still need a similar PS3 size solid heatsink.

I don't worry about shifting the consoles anyway, they are all wired into my entertainment system, its far more beneficial to get the mates round to mine than run the consoles through their hokey tv's and stereos.

I bet they could reduce the weight a crap load if they went with external power supply, just look at the 360 one for reference, sure it doesn't make carrying the console around any less heavy though :P

But you could probably reduce the heat output and size of the console a good bit also.

Let me see the games i'm looking forward to check at E3: Disciples 3, Majesty 2, Tropico 3, Assasins Creed 2, God of war 3, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, and some more i can't remember :p

Maybe announcment of a new Shin Megami tensei game, and would rock to have Homeworld 3 announced, but i guess no :(

it looks FAKE... thats 1 fugly PS3, and why would sony change a good looking console??? MS on the other, for the love of god remake the 360!!! id go as far as buy it again *3rd time... LOL

Normally I would agree with you on this 100%. However, half of Sony's problems with the PS3 to date, has been in creating a less than flattering image for their brand. Everything from publicly having their ass handed to them by Microsoft execs, following E3 2005 when they tried and failed to create FUD about the 360, to the batarang original controller design, to ripping off Nintendo with motion control (and pretending it was their own idea), to not including feedback in the Sixaxis, to the $600 initial price tag, to the muggings and stabbings and shootings at the PS3 launch, to most launch PS3s being returned when people realized no one on eBay was buying them, the system being too hard to develop for, to almost a full year on the market with no AAA games, to flagship titles like Heavenly Sword and LAIR falling flat on their faces, to next-gen features like in-game dash access and custom soundtracks being absent for the first 19 months, to losing almost all of Sony's 3rd party exclusives, to lower priced versions having important features like backward compatibility stripped from them, to Microsoft scoring exclusive DLC on top franchises, to multiconsole titles selling better on the 360, to falling on their faces with Playstation Home, to PS3 exclusive titles not selling very well, to the system still costing too much with no price drop in sight . . . and on and on and on.

Honestly, for all the moves forward that Sony has made this gen, they have made ten moves backward. And worse still, have done so publicly, and associated much of their bass ackwardness with their Playstation 3 brand.

I think when you look at it from that perspective, and the fact that Sony is committed to the PS3 and cannot back out of it, even if they wanted to, pulling a 'soft reboot' as it were, and starting a new brand (that actually harkens back to an older brand which was wildly successful), may actually be the best idea for them - whether they actually realize it or not. Since E3 2005, they have created so much negative press and negative mindshare surrounding the existing PS3 branding, to continue forward with that branding, may actually the more suicidal path.

Just a thought.

And someone is trying pretty hard to cover them up now they have leaked to the interwebs. I guess we will have a clearer picture come the Sony E3 press briefing on June 2nd.

As far as three years ago when APB actually surfaced, we had no idea what platform it was on. We just assumed it was 360 exclusive given that Crackdown was exclusive.

anyway, if DMC5 rumor is true...please no NERO, only Dante!
I didn't have fun time playing as Nero, he was boring, but with Dante's atleast I can have various weapons!

And I hope they follow the direction of Dante in DMC4, mature looking design...and no backtracking and repetitive bosses and levels!

If they want me to buy the next DMC, they better re-launch the game and put some more effort into it. The gameplay of DMC4 simply wont cut it anymore.

The 360 definitely does not need an aesthetic redesign as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't want to feel compelled to buy a new one, plus I think the current one looks great and really isn't too cumbersome to lug around.
