I love how Duke Nukem Forever is "hotly rumored"--on what planet?

Nano.Strike seems more likely than Gears 3, as if this rumor really means anything.

Not likely as epic is gonna show some campaign DLC for Gears 2 on E3 and its way to early for Gears 3 i suppose.

Maybe they'll show Dedicated Servers so that the MP portion of their game is a viable thing to play. </end beating dead horse>

I think this E3 is going to be a let down, but we'll see. I think since the change they went through E3 isn't going to showcase as much big news as it used to. I'd tell all of you not to get your hopes up yet

This + Counter Strike 2 would be awesome. If Valve does drop more L4D on us (as Deft keeps hinting) I'll be a little disappointed. The game is WAY too current for Valve to be working on a sequel already. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm afraid of valve even attempting a cs 2 because they'll probably screw it up just like they screwed up cs with their recent attempt to fix russian walking aka crouch hopping.

They rolled back and fixed the issue, but it seems to me like they've lost site of how to make a good successor to CS 1.6.

Source is a complete joke.

If they achieve gameplay as good as 1.6 with improved graphics and go out of their way to add some cool additions to the game, they could have a huge hit, but I don't see it happening.

I do.. the Source versus 1.6 argument is sort of old and tired. There are plenty of problems with CSS but to expect them all to carry over to a new game is a bit harsh. I'm excited by the premise that this will be something completely new... and not a remake just CSS. I want to see them take some big chances with CS2. I don't want it to be CSS with new guns and new maps--I want new gameplay.

And I'm pretty certain that it will be a huge hit. Will it replace CSS completely? I'm not sure... but I sure hope so. 1.6 is here for the long haul though. It has too large of a dedicated player base to ever really mess with... and it runs on everybodies PC.

With that said, I think there's a huge audience for a new CS and I'm pretty sure that Valve knows it. They've already said that CS2 won't be part of a bigger package, that it will be a stand alone product and that they believe in the franchises power to deliver on that level. I say bring it on.

No body is perfect. I still want a new Battlefield game despite all the problems I have with BF2 too.
