I get the feeling you were implying something with your post....but...it couldn't possibly be what I think...'cause that'd be rather ignorant of you.

If you have played with it (the eyetoy) and watch the video (of natal) the feeling that the two are similar product is strong.
When we can play with natal whith some game we can discuss about diference.
And yes I'm (very) ignorant.
I'm very curious about what you have thinked.

I've played the Eyetoy, and Natal is on another level by the looks of it - especially when you consider that it's nowhere near competion.

What, like Burnout: Paradise?

I was talking with Ronsauce.
I haven't played with Natal. And you?
Before they released eyetoy they show us techdemos about the use of the camera
that had raised hype (on me) but in the end the result was poor.

How many minutes playing burnout your arm last before they fall?
Same in other traditional games. IMHO.

Unless you are completely retarded you'd see what the differences between eyetoy and Natal are instantly. They cater to the same audience, yes, but they are not the same thing.

Personally i think making games a more active pastime is a great thing. I sure as hell know i should move around more anyway :P

Well obviously it does what it does in the demonstrations, otherwise the demos would have to be fake. So either they've fooled everyone that tried it or it works. I'd go with the later.

Steven Colbert not only mentioned Project Natal and showed some of the video tonight on his show, but he ACTUALLY showed off what really appears to be Microsoft's next console :o

He played it live on the show and I gotta say I was impressed.

Is there a link that shows the new 360 look?

What was under the box when natal was shown on jimmy's show? Was it the new 360?

I'm partially joking haha. He did talk up Natal and then show the promo video of it, but then he proceeded to show off Microsoft's new console.

He picked it up from under the desk and then set it down on the table where he was sitting. Natal is controller free gaming, but the new Xbox takes it to the next level. There was no box at all.

Despite not being able to see anything, he assured everybody that he had just set down the new xbox and then proceeded to play it. No television is required to play this new console either. I believe he mentioned that it would cost $500. He recommended everybody buy Microsoft stock.

His big red button crashed on him though so he had to reboot it and wait awhile before he pressed it again.

Optimus, wth?
They probably meant that the xbox360 changes with only Project Natal as an add-on. That's why he acted like there was a new xbox.

Or I just don't get your whole message..

Colbert is a comedian on comedy central like jon stewart, just in case you aren't familiar with him, so he was making a joke at natal's expense and was pretending he was showing off microsoft's new invisible console that required no controller and no television to work.

He wasn't actually playing anything. :P

List of publishers working on Natal -
Here's the current list of developers and publishers that are "actively working" on games that will utilize the motion camera:

Activision Blizzard
Bethesda Softworks
CAPCOM
Disney Interactive
Electronic Arts
Konami
MTV Games
Namco Bandai
Sega
Square Enix
THQ Inc.
Ubisoft

"'Project Natal' gives the industry's creators and storytellers the freedom to dream of new experiences and to tell stories never before possible," said Don Mattrick, senior vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Corp.

It was also revealed CAPCOM's Keiji Inafune, Sega's Toshihiro Nagoshi, and Konami's Hideo Kojima will all be taking part in a Tokyo Game Show Microsoft panel to discuss the gaming possibilities of project Natal.
Kojima seems to love it!
Dropping bombs. Hideo Kojima’s just told a TGS press conference that Natal is something “like the 2D to 3D shift, or the first time that I ever played with Family Computer [NES],” as reported by Gamasutra.
He said that when he first saw Natal, “I wanted to share my surprise to everybody… but I had to restrain myself.”
He went on, saying that Natal “has the potential to change everyone’s lifestyle dramatically” – extending to everyday tasks.
Kojima warned, however, that there will be some users who are “nervous without any physical controller”, he believes that we can and should accommodate those people through a transition period.
Talking about the type of games he’s excited about making on Natal, Kojima said that he wanted to make “a completely innovative game [with a very new control method] that nobody has thought of in the past.. but I have core users who are my fans, so I do not want to leave them behind.”
Heavy shit. Hit the link for the full thing.

Natal had a very good TGS without even showing anything, what with Kojima/Inafune/Nagoshi talking it up, the publisher list and Sony's half assed approach to the analog control.

RPG's are one of the genre's with the most potential!

* Player characters in the world can recognise you
* You can interact with them via voice not on screen prompts
* Same is true for gestures
* They can potentially read facial expressions
* Turn based combat is easily implemented with the technology (not so much for experienced RPG players but dramatically lowers the barriers for new ones)
* There's no reason why this can't support multiple players (up to 4 with the present spec).
