Remedy is never going to reveal Alan Wake 2

Would love nothing more, been one of my favorite games this gen.

Great news for Alan Wake fans as Remedy’s franchise is now available with a 75% discount on Steam. For only 8,99€, PC gamers can get Alan Wake, Alan Wake: American Nightmare and Alan Wake Collector’s Edition Extras. But wait, we’ve got some more news to share as it seems that 2013 will be the year of Alan Wake 2?s reveal. Or at least that’s what we hope so.

On Alan Wake’s official FB page, Remedy has revealed that it will be sharing more greater news about what they’ve been up to. The intereting part here is that this hint was shared on Alan Wake’s FB page, suggesting that Remedy has been working on something new about it.

Moreover, Alan Wake’s and Max Payne’s writer, Sam Lake, has also unveiled that Remedy will be revealing this year what they’ve been up to all this time.

The game doesn't get as much attention, it seems, but it was such an incredible game. They'd be insane not to want to do a sequel, especially on more powerful hardware.


Edit:: Oh what the crap, fell victim to another old bumped thread again. I'm guessing there's no new news. Need to start paying attention to those tiny date tags more often.

Agree with you about Alan Wake, one of the best game for Xbox360.
But i still remember the first Alan Wake (2005 version), a free-roaming survival horror... so beautiful idea!

You are right. I'm sure that they are working on a new Alan Wake. But, you know, i still remember the first Max Payne. I would like a new Max Payne from Remedy (Microsoft have to re-buy the I.P.!). Do you remember the first bullet-time of your life? ;)
Max Payne 1 is still my favourite game from Remedy and on TOP 100 of all my life. :D

I remember it extremely well. It was the first time I ever purchased a graphics card in my life to be able to play a game on my pc. The first place I ever saw that game was when Leo Laporte was playing it on his show "Call for Help," when the channel it was on was called, I think, ZDTV.

It's still a very memorable gaming experience for me. I especially loved the comic book style they used and the writing. Very, very well done.

It's not them. It's up to Microsoft who has published a few good IPs but abondoned them because they didnt sell like Halo (Blue Dragon, Losy Odyssey, Alan Wake, Crackdown....etc)

Games need publishers to fund, market, and release them. It's up to a publisher to make financial sense of the proposition.

If Microsoft wanted Alan Wake 2, they'd get it in a heartbeat.

True but ms are not the only publishers out there, if remedy wanted it made now it would happen, they have already said they wanted to move onto there next big project/game, but will def return to wake at some point down the line, and i'm sure they will have a line of publishers just waiting to fund it, with ms front of the line.
