Nah, it's partly a joke in some instances, but also partly serious in others. I genuinely believe that Sakaguchi has more major games coming. I don't think he's finished, not by a long shot. I, for example, expect he will have major releases on next gen machines. I still think he has made easily some of the best rpgs this generation, and sooner or later one of the console manufacturers, or just some publisher, will be interested in the kind of major game that Sakaguchi will want to make.

Oh, and shut up and buy Halo : Ghosts of the Onyx :P

I've answered a few questions or two in here so far already. See, I'm really just trying to solve the problem. There are questions that are unanswered. We are all in agreement on this, and I'm trying to change that (??). I dream of a day where there are nothing but answers, answers to questions that haven't actually been asked, answers to questions that have been asked, and even answers to things that don't even necessarily qualify as questions, and if that's the case, can they truly be called answers at all? So many questions...

I dont think he is coming back Op i think Sakaguchi has given up :( and it saddens me a great deal, oh and his are the only decent RPGs to have appeared this gen, i mean.. what else is there really?

Well, there is Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii. Very strong rpg there. Tales of Vesperia was another solid and very good game. Sakaguchi's Last Story for the Wii is pretty damn good. I advise people to give that one a shot. It's a very good, high quality rpg. And, sure, Persona 4 isn't a next gen game, but it's also amazing. I don't think Sakaguchi has given up, I think he is just wisely dialing it back a bit and focusing on some smaller projects, and then will come back with a major project and some ideas that have had more time to swirl around in his head.

In a lot of ways, I think Sakaguchi is waiting for next gen consoles and will have a project or two to show.
