It looks like grid 2, pgr games with all the drifting on street track. Not a sim type racing game.

First xbox was like a briefcase. This one looks really big too. The controller needed to be samller. Is it more bigger and fatter like first xbox. Also the name is bad xbox one lol infinity or fusion were better name. This is just as bad as Wii U

The console looks nice but one could mistake it for a VCR/DVR/DVD player lol which is not a good sign. I dont like the look of it, and the size is freaking huge. I thought smaller is better these days with these sort of products.
360 was the best console design I seen so its dissapointing to see how it turned out.

Controller, it looks nice but I hate bulky design, and it reminds me of the S model of the original Xbox controller.
Only good thing with this controller is the analog locations which is always the best.
I also dont like how close the bumpers and triggers are, accident slips?

The HUD for Xbox is, okay. I never gave a damn about ads to begin with unless its DLC ads for GAMES other than that its meh.

The Xbox One reveal has got to be, (for me), the BIGGEST let down ever in a long long time. The console has more bloody vents in it that i`m certain it`s only held together by about 3g of plastic sections. The controller looks better than the unit but I`m still not convinced.

All Sony have to do now is to apply some interest in the Oculus Rift at E3 this year or to at least show an interest in developing their own hardware to rival Team oculus and I`m sold sold sold!

MS have messed this up so much in my honest opinion as I`m not into sport, hate bloody EA and simply wanted a gaming console. What it appears that we`ve ended up with is a Betamax-styled ugly looking box that caters for lazy couch potato`s who wanna sit on their couch all night long stuffing their faces full of chips.

When I get home from work, I have to physically switch on the power to my 4-way surge protected power bar before taking a seat on the couch. If I want my console on I simply PRESS THE BUTTON ON THE FRONT!......why the hell would you think it`s cool to then sit down and shout "Xbox ON!"?....why!?!

With the previous RROD experiences that MS had with the 360, it appears to me as though this time, instead of allowing an actual `designer`, the opportunity of crafting something slightly aesthetically pleasing, they simply went to the hardware guys and asked them what they needed the machine to look like in order to stay cool this time around. They were obviously still drunk from all the excitement the night before and said....."erm......that er....Betamax flop from back in the 1700`s looked sweeeet man!...lets rock on with a schweeeeet design like that!....top dollar mate!....top dollar!"

What we`ve ended up with is simply hideous to look at, and as far as i`m concerned I`m certain that the Playstation 4 will absolutely destroy the Xbox One with it`s aesthetics even before I`ve seen the complete machine. Hell......the PS4 joypad just got a LOT sexier overnight!

Once my Live subscription runs out at the end of this year I`m leaving MS. Too much of a wasted opportunity and after all the hype we`ve ended up with a box that looks like it was designed by a child old.........

...oh no...wait!.........a child could do a better job in the dark!

Real big let down. Don't care about what the thing looks like, but the lack of focus on games is poor. Yes I'm aware they said E3 is when the games are coming, I don't care, the xbox brand was made popular by gamers, as it was about good games. Slowly this generation they have become less and less about it, appealing to the mass audience.
The problem for MS is that they believe the kinect sold so well because it was great on its own. I didn't, it was because so many gamers had bought the console to begin with and needed more to play so they went for Kinect. This time around, if there are no games, the core won't buy it, meaning the mass audience won't even know about it.
They need to blow gamers away at E3 otherwise this will not sell well on any audience.

I don't think those photo's do it justice..i think it will look a lot sleeker in person. But the thing is HUGE.. it looks like its about the length of two ps3 slims side to side - i'm really not sure that's an exaggeration.

The pad sounds really interesting.. the behind the scenes GT vids has convinced me they made the right call not sticking unnecessary things on there

As for all the sony fanboy vile that's filling up the forums right now.. lets wait for E3 to see if its warrented. At the end of the day Sony showed gameplay to only 2 of their games (and did anybody really like that brick/robot one?) and offered teasers to everything else. They spoke an excellent game.. and the ps4 definitely has my interest more with the promises offered.. but they showed very little of those promises functioning. There's already rumours that the whole jump in to friends games, what friends games played live ect isn't ready yet. There's a lot of questions to be answered at E3... MS have already promised an overload of games. And i'm sure sony will show their own Kinect style camera to counter what was shown yesterday. Till then lets wipe away tears and enjoy the ride..rather than acting superior/feeling inferior over consoles NONE of us actually own yet!

I hope that my post didn`t come across as though I am a Sony fan boy because, trust me, I`m not :0) I`ve been in the MS camp now for years as I preferred their choice of thumbstick layout on the pads which was a major deciding factor when purchasing a game title which was available across platforms.

As for bleach`s comment on the machine itself I can see where you`re coming from regarding the unit in the flesh but most things, (to me anyway), always appear better in the HD photos that companies choose to show us. The unit itself looks MAHOOOOSIVE to say the least and I bet it weighs a freakin` ton!

Irrespective of whether or not it`s smaller in real life, it does look like they spent 5 minutes down the pub coming up with that `look`. They drew it on the back of a beer mat whilst intoxicated!....vile looking thing IMO from what I`ve seen so far.

I`ll definitely give it a fair run during E3 and then make my mind up 100% with which machine to purchase this time around but seeing as I can`t afford to place my chips in both camps this coming generation, I`ll have to have a long, hard look at everything offered by both systems and choose based upon what I whitness.

They did speak an excellent game, and MS didn't. Also, it doesn't affect me whether or not those promises are currently functioning because, as you said, NONE of us own one yet. Obviously if those features don't make it in, that'd be pretty shitty. But those are features that interest me way more than anything that was shown during the XO reveal. Adding to that, it really doesn't affect me that MS actually showed their console and Sony didn't, so I can't really give MS that much props for simply showing the XO.

I am going to love this game. I was grown by playing 3D platform games. I hope we get more of these games and people appreciate these games or give them credit at least more than mainstream action games which are more popular.

As far as XO goes. Well it offer very little apart from kinect, which is not my interest. But it will be good to see what games they can bring on the table.

wonder how many times Forza will get rehashed this gen, as for the 15 or so called exclusives, they could have at least shown something new, everyone knows Forza is dead cert for new Xbox one, why not give a bone to the Core gamers, the ones that will actually buy that TV remote with mic they call a system

They did show something new? in the space of an hour you got revealed one of those new ip's with remedy's game. Sony only revealed one of their new ip's in the space of 2 hours correct? Unless you count infamous and killzone spin offs as new ips?

Apparently Rise (cyrteks much delayed Kinect game) is now one of those new ip's coming to this. I just hope 6 left aren't mostly Kinect party/dance/kids games.

Back in the days I bought a 360, cause it was a gaming machine and the PS3 was advertised as a entertainment system for your living room (for example, I was never interessted in HD-movies...)
