TGS08: Resident Evil 5 gameplay

Wasn't this game supposed to get an "action make-over" and improve the pacing by enabling to shoot while moving and implementing a cover system etc etc?

Perhaps I'm blind or something, but I don't see any difference from the new footage. Shame, as that was the only reason I was looking into this game again.

It's a shame that you would pass over this game simply because they didn't add even more action to it than they already have.

Capcom only said they would give the game similar cotrols to Gears of War, not similar gameplay mechanics. They changed the controls so that you can walk and turn using the two analogue sticks. I heard about the cover system, but I'm not even sure that was official.

No, it's the overal awkardness and uselessness of the controls. Dead Rising killed it for me, so did the previous RE's. I'm all for slower paced horror adventures. I consider Condemned 1 and 2 to be of the best games I've played for the past few years. I can deal with less action packed, slower paced games. However, I don't tolerate awkward and frustrating control schemes and POOR pacing.

@vspectra06: Too bad then, as I've heard otherwise...atleast that's what I thought. Oh well, moving along...

I'll be honest the grfx look improved but everything else look IDENTICAL to res4, which isn't really too terrible but still disapointing.

Look I know resident evil has gone action horror, thats ok..Love it..Outbreak is still on the board I think, as is Dino Crisis,,
