Ok, I am officially in LOVE with the combat system in this game. Absolutely brilliant, It hits all the right strides with me. I am so happy. After the disaster that was FF12, This is such a welcome change. Put in another 2 hours today so 4 hours of play time in total so far. The combat picked up even difficulty wise though it could be a tad more difficult but I wont be nitpicky :)

The linearity of this game has actually HELPED me enjoy a FF....finally. It flows well and helps direct the story. You can have open worlds all you want.....All I seem to remember of FF12 was roaming around attempting to level up without any story.

Yea it helps that FF13 story is constantly driving you alone, it may not be the best story in the world but it does stay interesting, FF12's story was pretty monotonous and it kind of killed the whole experience for me.

I don't think the linearity is a big issue with the game myself, it probably seems a lot worse after FF12 with its enourmous zones, which personally I found too large anyway.

You do know there all linear to begin with right? most FF games dont let you wonder around till about half way through.

First one had too many DPS classes that wern't properly balanced. I got a Dragoon to 75 before all the updates they did to make it a more viable class, I know what sitting around for hours for a party felt like.

So, I am in love with this game :D

Up to 13 hours of total playtime now, Disc 2. Combat is picking up more and more and is just a pure blast to execute and watch. Difficulty is a bit the problem here. There is no curve that is going up and up, it basicall goes up and down which is a shame because this combat system SHINES in difficult situations when u have to juggle around with the spesific commands to stagger the enemy while switching paradigms and what not to keep it going. But boy when it's working, I find my self smiling :D /smiling as type this. That's the fun I missed in FF12!!!!

Story picking up nicely. Not the best in the world but I think it does enough to keep u interested. One game sessions, I played for a straight two hours and completely lost track of time. This, to me, means the game is doing something right to keep you interested.

I think, after all of this, I see clearly what Square wants from this. This feels like your linear typical action adventure game in a way which makes this final fantasy pretty special. I think I will savour this as I am sure Square wont try this again.

ok. I finished 3 main jobs of all chars to level 4 of cristarriume and climb up on tower of Pulse. (45 hours). I am tired of it. and combat didnt change cinse disk 2. I hate those corridor-type levels. the story suxx, but thx god on disk 3 there are few dialogs, so it didnt rage me much
