Agree with that I am still stuck at chapter 12 and have no inclination to finish it really, I also lost interest in Lost Odyssey at the end aswell.

Ah, maybe you pulled out before they whiffed their entire condundrum with the biggest plot bail in history. The ending to Lost Odyssey is like someone yelled "LOOK OVER THERE, A FLYING PIG!" and the writers fled out the window.

Agree with FF but LO was overall superior game, and i loved every second of it :)

tbh i'm with manthatyoufear as far as his preference to consoles. it's just more comfortable chillin out on your sofa playing a game. and PC controls dont exactly favour the genre. i mean, the bulk of the gameplay is moving around and "clicking" on enemies. it isnt like you need a gaming mouse and uber accuracy to play them. sure, the argument could be raised concerning an FPS, but an MMO...lol, please.
I'm late to this thread, but holy crap is that all sorts of wrong. Hot keys, macros, etc. There's about a million reasons why PC controls do favor the genre.

Overall yes, pc massively better control type for MMOS but FF is built with consoles in mind and done pretty well, especially if you use a mini pad/keyboard on the side, but warcraft say, hell that would be fucking awfull on any console that does not allow mouse usage for it.

Oh, no doubt, I just think it's silly to say that PC controls don't favor the genre. Obviously FF11 was made with consoles in mind, but it still requires a keyboard to play properly. Not that it's difficult to plug a keyboard into your console. Now FF14 on the other hand, well, I don't know how that will work.. but I suspect in a very simular fashion to FF11. Mouse and keyboard is definitely the way to go for most MMORPG's though, and frankly they're battle tested and far more successful on the PC.

Well, it had a chance, and plenty of developers want to get their games on the 360 but don't seem to able to make it happen.

so, still in Chapter 13 in FFXIII and

so far I haven't managed to get a single one of them Trapezohedrons, but yesterdday I had a really joyful moment - I got my "growth egg" and thus all CP x 2 from now on. Not bad. In my 70 hours playtime I maxed out 3 Crystariums per Character so far and started a fourth though it still isn't anymore phun. But I just hate it when I stop to play an RPG rite before the end ... I have to be strong and carry on. But all that boring fighting and fighting ...

And that Fang has a quite strange AI. Sometimes she attacks the "other guy" though I clearly didn't select him and at other times she's casting spells (Ravager) when she should slash (Commando). I personally am not used to this kind of behaviour in women, they always do what I want ;)) Xcept my daughter of course, her first answer is always no.

DOC dude, fang is a pain in the arse, biggest reason is her main is commando and if you have two commandos in a team they will attack the opposite to you.

Finally beat it y'day. Without a single trap and in 72 hrs. And I am really glad it's over ... end sequence looked weird though. All the character models had a slightly different look, as if it was produced by a different team. In fact, all the videos in FFXIII dont quite feel alike. Some look like Game-Engine saved as FMV, some look like TV-CGI and some are inbetween. Which is quite lame as it distracts and doesn't harmonize and honestly, has a rushed feel to it.

After all, Lost Odyssey is a much better game with more likeable protagonists, IMO better character- and art-design and of course - much better music.
