And I don't see why 14 isn't allowed to be discussed here, 13 games have nothing to do with one another.

That being said there isn't much to be said about 13 now until it comes out, you seen one video you seen em all.

After playing the demo I ain't all that excited about it anymore.

I'm finding it hard to dig the characters in ff13. If they are going to try to do modern ff they gotta do it like ff8, otherwise stick to something more midevil in nature.

The other three FFXIII games are probably continuations of the threee you poasted.

The FXIII has really gone down in terms of story telling or more like it hasnt evolved. I dont sense any emotion from the FF series anymore. I feel like all there titles are starting to become chessy over the top rehashes. Maybe they need to take lessons from the devs of ICO, SOTC, TRICO.

You nailed it. They've lost something. All the really need to do is go back and look at some of their earlier ff games. It really isn't that difficult. They can bring back what they've lost with a bit of inspiration.

BTW for those not interested in FF14 (because its an MMO), It doesn't seem to be any old MMO, SE have said they concentrated on making it a single player game first with online MMO aspects, there are rumors that it could be F2P also.

They also suggested that it will be more casual friendly and there will be a wide range of play styles, including solo, party and large scale battles.

For people who didn't play FF11, its worth mentioning that FF11 has some of the best story lines in any Final Fantasy game.

This doesn't sound exciting at all.

Snow just strikes me as one of the most utterly disappointing ff characters I've ever seen. Square needs to go back to their roots or just hurry up and announce a new console Kingdom Hearts game. Probably the only thing besides "The World Ends With You" that they seem to handle with any bit of competence these days. Although.. even in the last KH you could sorta start to see signs of Square maybe losing their way. It was a fun experience though.

what is it exactly that bothers you ? the transformation to a bicycle ? I actually think that could be really fun during combat.

- The world is actually called Haiderin. Eorzea is a region in Haiderin.
- Every race from Final Fantasy XI will be included Final Fantasy XIV, it's unknown if more will be added later.
- Leviathan seems to play a big role in the game.
- The battle system will be real time, which focuses on timing your attacks.
- The job system will revolve around weapons.
- The game won't be using monthly fees, instead they are focusing on "30 day plans", which are quite popular these days.
- In-game items won't be sold (micropayments).
- The PC version will have high system requirements.
- The maximum population per sever will be between 5-6000 players.
