Phellan, you need to timeshift (ie slow down time) as many enemies as you can and he will start appearing when he does get close to him and engage him in battle.

PS: I thought you might be interested in this. the woman you're doing the quest for is gonna propose to join your party after you finish the quest. You'll find her at the city's Guild. She is one hell of a leader. She proved to be quite useful as a leader of one of my unions ;)

That is what I always do. I engage till 9 chains but form what you say I will have to chain as many as possible? But how can I tell the difference between him and the others?

It's hiding in the middle of that area invisable, slow down time and run around avoiding the bugs and you will see one of the plant like creatures.

Done it. But damn a bug caught me and I lost my 600 chains. Anyway awesome mission and thanks to it I have managed to raise my level a lot so that I can defeat the final boss in disc 1.
It is an awesome game really and very underrated. One of the best rpgs in many years IMO.

ok. after ~ 10 hours of gameplay I understand that I love this combat system. Definitely it is the most dynamic combat system in turn based jrpg cinse Grandia II on Dreamcast. I love it. And I love combat music.
I still dont like the story and hate this bugs with engine, but anyway the game is very good, cuz the combat.

Got 70.27 fps here at 1080p, 86.89 at 720p, some pretty bad tearing though.

Worth mentioning the PC version will have quite a few extra's aswell.

Yeah lots of tearing but if they would have v-sync on it wouldn't be really a good benchmark program.

that's exactly it. If it kicks your ass it's because u didnt plan it right. This is the way with all bosses in this game which is great. A lot of strategy is involved.
