I'm at the bit now in the Aquaducts under the city of Nagapore, how far am i from the end of disc 1?, no spoilers please :)

Also that cutscene with the fight between the Conqueror and Emma was great!

Thx for the heads up, was almost gonna pick it up today when i was in belfast, glad i didnt.
Edit: Saints row 2 is 17.99 aswell, grabbed it too. 2 games i wanted for the price of 1, can't do too bad for that.

Oh, GAME stores also had most 360 accessories down to £19.99 including the wireless headset so if anyone is after those now is the time.

Can't remember, but I think you aren't far from the end of disc one, at the end of that area you will come to the boss i mentioned before.

Just beat him, took me around 45mins on my first attempt :), had allot of close calls though, had to plan many moves ahead!! very cool boss thoughand how useless was that robot allie thing?, actually it did seem to draw allot of the boss attacks, so i guess it did help a little

Yea ideally he is supposed to engage the boss why you pick off the weaker trash mobs, not that he ever did in my case lol.

I recomend to u go buy Lost Odyssey, cuz it is much better in story, grafics, characters, design, music, gameplay, and remnant is crap

Thanks for your input, but i think i'll give it a go i have seen all the videos and the combat and leveling up seems much more easy for me to get my head around than starting with LO, also DC seems to be enjoying it and if it can pull him away from GOW2 it must have something about it :)

Actually, the only things horribly bland about LO are its characters, overall Turtles episode-esque storyline and boring dungeons. I thought the game was a blast gameplay wise and the camera work and animation during battles really lent them some extra intensity that turn based jRPGs usually lack (outside of the stakes involved as a player of course).

Oh and it's rubbish if you want a real challenge. The first boss promises greatness but from there on the only way to really fail is to let some of the more retarded dungeon quirks get on your tits so bad you give up.

I thought it was a good entry level jRPG personally. And I'd know, it was essentially my first. :D

Last Remnant however doesn't really strike me as the kind of jRPG that introduces you to the genre. For what it's worth.

If you like the look of the combat you will like it more when you play it, not since M.E have i invested so many hrs into a game, i cant put my finger on it but the combat is so additive :)

Yea the gameplay is hard to put in a box it kind of reminds me a little of playing chess in some ways, its too bad they didn't allow players to directly select what magic and moves they wished to use though.

I really think this type of gameplay is where turn based games should be headed, especially if you could play as one union with co-op over XBL/PSN that would be pretty awesome.

Later on some of the battles get pretty big and can take 20 minutes or more to get through, will be interesting to see what happens after this in terms or sequels or taking the concept further.

characters was 100 times better then remnants pro-americanos with stupid dialogs
and Lo has very cool dungeons cuz have adventure and platform element and this was good.

Yeah its like a simplified version of chess, but a hell of allot more intense and visually great. Just started disc2 :)
