It's funny that people now act like the difference is insignificant. It's not. The Xbox has an obvious advantage with third parties this generation. If it loses that, it loses part of its appeal.

True, but i'm pretty sure the games will end up looking similar.

As we said before, the PS4 specs were bang on except for the extra RAM added late into dev. If the durango specs are even remotely correct it is a piece of crap, even if you doubled it's RAM it would be inferior to the PS4. Every single component in the leak is inferior and everything we know of MS and their practices as the generation has progressed has made me cautious in believing they would give us a machine that can compete with the ps4 rather than the wii u.

I thought the only real difference from the latest vgleaks was the gpu (1.6/8 TF vs 1.2TF)? and maybe ram type?

GPU, RAM, OS reserves 30% of cpu / RAM as it runs windows 8 / DVR functionality. It could all be wrong, but the most regular rumours peg it as being weaker on paper by quite a large margin considering all the components are of the same generation. I mean even if you took it as JUST being the gpu, it's the equivalent of a geforce GTX 560 vs a 580 which would leave the ps4 running games at about twice the framerate at the same settings.

Interesting to see how it all turns out? I'm predicting nothing less than a full riot at several of these gaming sites/forums that took the MOST extreme positions on this console. Even I intend to stick it to a few of these sites and their moderators who have been at the center of every explosion that's taken place these past few months.

Since the event is going be held on the Xbox campus, the presentation is probably going to be quite similar to the Surface reveal. So expect a quieter more intimate setting than what we saw from Sony in February. And if it's anything like the Surface reveal then expect them to talk alot about the console's specs, features and capabilities. Most importantly we're actually going to SEE the final product. And finally put the most ridiculous rumors to bed.

I remember all that, live became a closed platform the longer along the lifecycle. It was meant to be this great open thing but they wouldnt allow mods, then they started screwing with size limitations, then it was MMO's finding it difficult to get on. Now it's indies and patch limitations. I mean when theyre charging per patch to the dev, actively stifling improvement, then you know theres something rotten.

This is why I think people will be cautious going into MS' conference, we've heard it ALL before and we KNOW that they haven't met their own claims.

Well last I checked it didn't have developers up in arms over fees. But that could be from the fact that the most popular games get published by Sony itself.

Phil Fish isn't a developer we should listen to when he's "up in arms," and the original "$40,000" figure was thrown out by Tim Schafer and it wasn't a platform specific complaint. It was just "consoles."
