Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are just examples of games that, to me, are "true exclusives" by the definition that some prefer to use, and that were compelling enough to get me to stand on line in the cold to buy a 360, and regardless of how long ago that was, it shows that Microsoft CAN get things right sometimes. Sometimes people will have that one game that they can't afford to be without and that makes them want to grab a console, but I saw two before launch even happened that were #1 -- in my favorite game genre ever and #2 -- from my favorite game developer of all time. The fact that Toriyama (whose work I literally also grew up loving), Nobou Uematsu, and the slam dunk manga artist, Inoue, were also involved, practically had my wallet itself picking me up and making me leave the house to go buy a 360.

I don't see going back to Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey as a yikes moment, not for me anyway, because I've gotten more play time and enjoyment out of those games than just about any other game I've purchased this generation. Blue Dragon is the game I'm playing as we speak. When I'm done, and I'm taking my sweet time, of course, I'm going to replay Lost Odyssey again. I seriously love those two games more than you could understand. In the era of shorter and shorter feeling 8 hour and 10 hour games, I like diving into these monstrous 60+ hour adventures, where I get to travel all over a massive game world and experience everything it has to offer.

I feel ya on waiting on GTA for PC, Grift. A lot of people I know do that, or at least get a pc ready for it even when they get the console version.That's literally the movie I'm gonna watch later. Seems the new Xbox is possibly called Xbox Infinite. Apparently the source has a pretty strong track record.

was posted on reddit a month ago, post was titled "i saved you a months waiting..." and he showed the logo. Xbox infiniti (the sign, not the words). I think its a great name, especialy considering if u rotate the infiniti sign, its an 8!

My guess is if there waiting till E3 it's not going to be exclusive.

MS has been rumored from last year to be unveiling around March\April 2013, so it was always going to happen, but the shock of Sony beating them to the punch has def caused them to push the date back to May.That's not to telling either way really.

you would have thought they would have brought their reveal FORWARD not back. its so close to E3 it almost seems pointless. really should have happened early last month. it would have been far enough away from the sony reveal to not come across as reactionary, and it would have been far enough from E3 to seem worthwhile. now they have a conference, followed by a conference, followed by E3 all in the space of 3 weeks. hopefully they have a ton of stuff to show to warrent that close proximity.

Not really, it makes sense to react to what Sony has shown, so if that means pushing your conf back and tweaking it, seems sound to me, i'm sure Sony would have done the same if it was reversed. As for the shows back to back it could work out well, by creating a buzz and keeping the Xbox in the forefront of peoples minds, there also going to be at Build and another show also after E3, so there just keeping the train rolling.

could also show fatigue across so many showings so close together. consoles at launch don't usually have a plethora of titles on offer. so they could end up showing a game, then showing it again...then showing it again, then letting you play it at E3, then showing it again all withing 3 weeks...hence why i'd hope they have a shit ton to show.

My guess is the may reveal is a tech reveal with a few games and services shown, E3 will be main game launch lineup and pricing/release window, Build will be showing all the dev/pubs there new development tools, and i cant remember the other conf?

hdmi optical only on new xbox.. now we know i'm not getting one at launch if at all, but my xbox is currently sd only due to my multiple tv setup, taking away my sd is pretty much the final nail, my old school tv is for all my retro consoles and my 360.

my second tv will always be oldschool because my old games look shit on panels and my 360 i use at same time as my playstation so it will never hook up to my big screen.

I'm all HD up, so if true won't be a game changer for me.

Kotaku is not a reliable source. They are probably behind and will not have the games to compete with the PS4 is not difficult to guess. But I am sure they will have some new IP, core games at least for first 2yrs or so. BC alone gives incentives for 360 users to upgrade. I think that is huge. Imagine playing gta iv @ 1080p or even if it 720p with texture upgrade may be or 60fps.

Assuming that 360soc is obvisouly on 720. Considering the specs of 720 there cannot be any other justification for rumored 500$ console
