I thought this game mildly interesting before. But this is looking better and better and the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 2 helps as well.
"Though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil, for I am the evilest motherf*cker in the valley"
"First come smiles, then comes lies. Last is gunfire"
STREET FIGHTER 4, BRING IT ON!

Hope the demo will be fun.
Every day's great at your Junes! :D
This is suppose to be a comic book like superhero game, so why not add those type of music to make the character and the powers actually seem badass and epic.
If this game supports custom music (which I highly doubt it) I will definitely use my own playlist and use tracks like that.
personally i think the music in all the inFAMOUS trailers have worked better then any amount of "typical" orchestral music could have. they fit perfectly. in the same way the heavy rock/metal of DMC3/4 worked pefectly in that game too.
sometimes when you read a comic an orchestra isnt the thing playing in your head...it's just a cool song that fits the scene well. and infamous nails that. sure it had the "standard" sound that every freaking game seems to think it needs...and it sound ok. but in terms of trailers. inFAMOUS has definately done the right thing in focusing on currently exsisting music, and editing the action to flow with it.
i honestly dont think the infamous trailer would get the amount of praise they do on forums if it was just your average, typical, run of the mill "movie-like" trailer that every developer seems to be doing these days.
One thing, the reason they use what they use for movie trailers is that it works.

Don't you know who I am? I'm the goddamned Banman.
The music for inFAMOUS is very good as well, Amon Tobin, James Dooley and two other composers, very nice.
But yeah the more latest footage i see the more hooked I am. Hopefully demo leaves a good impression .
Can't wait for the demo.

IGN site (better than the official one anyways).
Great music tracks in the background, with alot of download goodies and info about the game.
Ps. I can't seem to be able to download any of the wallpapers, if anyone can give me the highest res of the bottom left one, I appreciate it.

12 minutes of footage....in french
(btw, i cant get it to work, but people over at GT have)
The music is so good, has a mix of The Dark Knight style to street urban drum beating. I used a firefox add-on to grav the tracks, but for some reason I couldn't get 2 of the tracks, but whatever.
About the video, I saw it a few hours ago.
It has a bit of a slow start but what game doesn't.
The quality of the video doesn't seem to bring the graphics of the game to justice.
It shows Cole and one of his friends on a rooftop talking a few minutes then they both start hitting the streets and start running around, until one part of city were you have to defend some supplies from the reapers.
The combat looks very good and solid but nothing special yet, but then again it is obviously in the very beginning of the game so you can't expect much.
PS. Absolutely love the comic book style cutscenes with small animations within it, the art is great as well!
I tried to save any of the wallpapers and it didn't work.
Some of the comic wallpapers are nice though, too bad they don't have 1080 size of their wallpapers.
- The ultimate superpower is given on the last stretch, which, depending how deep you go into the side missions, comes after a good ten or so hours of gameplay.
- The game's not just a looker, it's also structured really smartly, which sounds like a dull thing to be good at, but is actually crucial and brilliant.
- You start off with the basics, such as a simple 'lightning bolt', draining electricity and climbing, REALLY good climbing. (They say later on it sometimes makes Uncharted and Assassin's Creed look dull in terms of the climbing).
- It's good in two ways: It's super-powered, for one thing, so Cole can drop from any height without hurting himself, catch any ledge without finger-tip slipping, and scale just about any building (or giant industrial crane) in the city. And it's also good because it FEELS brilliant, a lovely balance of speed, fluidity and looseness on the one hand, and path-finding challenge on the other.
- It's basically a big win, moreish and addictive wish a 'one more, mission, one more power' appeal that saw me complete the game
twice over a four day weekend full of ruined bedtimes.
- The combat's deep and spectacular, the climbing is slick and intuitive, and the story's got enough depth behind the flashy hero/villain hook to fully merit that all-important second playthrough.
- There's genuinely nothing else like InFamous on Ps3, and it slots in very nicely alongside the machine's other big-name exclusives. People, we have another must-buy
CONS :
-There are occasional frustrations when the game wants to lock you onto the wrong piece of scenery, but it's a muscular and liberating experience that makes Assassin's Creed seem clumsy and Prince of Persia feel like it's running on autopilot.
Overall score: 9/10
That and its OPM which is, official PLAYSTATION magazine.
But I never went for reviews as a decision factor, more as a tool into consideration and more info about the games pros and cons.
But a demo is always the biggest help I can get for a game, and this will have one.

as for it being OPM, i kind of agree. although generally speaking, official mag scores rarely stand out as being overrated compared to other sites. the only mag that i can think of where the score is way off compared to the competition is EDGE, but they usually UNDER score games. OPM and OXM scores are usually the same as places like ign, gamespot, GT, eurogamer and any other site/magazine.
When you get the final product half the magic is gone you know what to expect :(
I think i have stood in poo

Every day's great at your Junes! :D
i wish sony would come out and tell us what UK retail stores are getting the beta, or at least tell us who's getting the limited edition version. cos then i can pre-order. as it stands only play.com have the beta, but only shopto.net seem to have the limited edition.
i kinda want both.
Looks really fun from the videos, and readed some good impressions too.
