Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Since 7453 DaysI've upgraded to IE8 and all is well again...for now atleast. ;)
Edit: In reply to your second post, I do recall seeing an -out of place- 0 on the site when all went apeshit. Also, it only just happened 3-5 minutes before I posted about it here. So I think it's save to say the debug thing was the cause of this...

Since 7698 DaysMods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
Since 7570 DaysEvery time it shows, the site slows to a crawl.
I click the button to let it load, and it doesn't solve anything.
Did you guys add something to the site now?
Since 8318 DaysBlimBlim, Tyran.
Since 7570 DaysI rolled over the flash thingy so you could see what it is.
I've never seen this bit of flash on the site but for the last 2 days or so, and it doesn't show up on every refresh. Maybe every second time or so, though it's not consistent.
When it does show up, the site really slows down (2fps scrolling for instance).
edit
I just noticed it doesn't actually stay at the top of the site, it stays at the top of the browser, so it just follows as I scroll down.
It also shows up in the pop up box for image sets.

Since 7570 DaysLook at the directory where Flash hides its cookies on my computer:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Danny\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys"
There was a folder for every site I've been to that uses flash, since January of this year, and that "VideoEgg" crap was right there at the bottom.
Needless to say I'll be emptying that trash heap a couple times a month now... wow.
(I thought that stuff just ended up with the browser cookies)
Since 7570 DaysI have them excepted in Adblock Plus so I don't deal with it but, they are an issue otherwise, especially using Flashblock.
They seem to fuck up browsing in a major way when Flashblocked.
I know you said it's not some service you signed up for. Is there a way for you to determine what ads are using Videoegg so you can send them to hell?
Since 8318 DaysBlimBlim, Tyran.
Since 7570 Days*used IE so I didn't need to disable my Firefox extensions*
This is what it looks like. That image on the left side of the ad is actually animated Flash video, so right away it's slowing down the browser.
(this is just one of many product ads that use the Videoegg setup, they all look and behave like this though)
----
This is what it looks like when you hover over it. There is a 3 second countdown...
(notice the "Videoegg" in the peeled corner)
----
If you leave your mouse pointer over the ad for 3 seconds, it dims the webpage and loads some annoying video.
(The black box on the left is mine; realized I was in the Admin Forum)
The ad is so large that sometimes my mouse pointer will be hovering over it and I don't even know.
Since 8318 DaysBlimBlim, Tyran.
Since 7570 DaysThey seem to be in banner ad form only, but I can't say for sure.
like I said, Flashblock alone seems to keep it from showing, but something still happens in the background which really screws things up.
Hence the domain blocking in AdBlock Plus (Firefox).
I added "*.videoegg.com/*" to the ad block filter, which does work, and also to my software firewall, so that it's blocked globally for other browsers (I hope).
Since 7570 DaysAnyway, it's there now.
Since 7698 DaysFor a long time now, the scrolling of the main page is pretty damn weak. It feels very clunky, on FF and IE. Basically this is what happens, you scroll up and the top part of the site remains visible while everything else scrolls. Think of it as a v-sync issue, so the images will cut off for a fraction of a second. I don't know if there is something you can do, or if that's just my issue.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
Since 7570 DaysIt's like the browsers don't like multiple images on the same page or something, so it can't keep up while scrolling; just jumps around.
Another thing Blim:
This site is not fully functional/buggy in IE8 unless compatibility mode is turned on.
Unfortunately IE8 only keeps the compatibility mode site information for the particular session.
