Coupled with the fact that MS is the only competitor of the big three to offer a fully established cloud system, a successful gaming platform (streaming games/videos from your Xbox onto your tablet anyone?), the best multimedia software/hardware combo with Zune products and of course the industry standard of office programs even I might buy my first tablet.
Inscrit depuis 7468 JoursRT is an interesting product but it has a very uncertain future. Metro needs support to take on established tablets. It's anybodies guess what the future holds for Windows on ARM.
So you think the next Xbox uses an ARM cpu now? :D

No way Microsoft doesn't make sure the next Xbox runs on a custom Windows 8 kernel.

I bought the 360, because it was a pure gaming machine, but the Wii (and Kinect as the answer to it) kind of killed the box imo.

If that is the case tho, i dont really see much need in new consoles. Some new dynamic particle systems and lighting doesnt seem to be enough for me. I'd rather wait longer and see better results. I mean, watchdogs, 1313, the UE4 tech demo where hardly the face melting improvements i personally want.
Inscrit depuis 8273 JoursI don't think it will, sadly.
Inscrit depuis 6899 JoursTo get a good idea of what these consoles will be capable off, just install and play Crysis 2 DX11. It will introduce to all the major DX11 features ^_^

Once upon a time, people were impressed to see the 360 version of COD 2 look as good as it did in comparison to the PC version. Trust me when I say we're all going to be laughing at the thought that we underestimated the next xbox and playstation 3 or 4 years from now.

Now bear with me, we saw on average game dev costs go from $5mil to $20mil. Now, to incorporate this graphic upgrade you believe will come about naturally, do you think developers will get paid more without A) Game prices increasing or B) DLC out the whazoo? Or maybe option C) Games will maybe just look like they do on PC now with some extra effects and more Anti-aliasing?

With good engines and tools, I don't think there will be a significant a jump in price, if there is one. There were seventy and eighty dollar games during the 16 bit era. I'm personally shocked that game prices haven't changed all that much in the last 20 years.
The hard part will be to find enough artists with that level of skill...
Oooh, Profound, isn't it?
