Are you insane!! i want the next-gen games to look much better than KillzoneUnchartedGears ect.., that's the whole point of next-gen to be better than this current gen lol.

And until i see the Hardware or hear from MS these Rumors mean nothing to me.
But most games these days couldnt even do the Killzone 3/Uncharted 3/Gears 3 visuals lol (consoles only).

I would give Crysis 2 a big kudos but the idiots at Crytek really pissed me off when they went with sub-HD.
Blurry nonsense, really annoying!

I do hope they go past these games for sure, but I am not expecting crazy leaps, that way i wont be dissapointed when it doesnt lol.
And yes, its just rumors, basically wishes and dreams for now.

I think its wise to keep realitic expectations, I don't see either MS or Sony going crazy with tech this time, I think they want to make money a lot sooner this time round, it unlikely going to be the same step from Xbox > 360

The UE4 (or was it 3) samaritan demo is all well and good but only 1-2 devs have the resources to make a game with those kinds of assets, obviously you can push a console much harder than a PC so Epic may get close.

So Edge are now also citing Ubisoft sources as having the Xbox dev kits already??, if it is a 2012 lunch Halo4 has to be a launch title?, although i think it will be a 2013 launch not 2012.

They're supposed to have custom platforms that emulate the final specification. No way devs could build games in 12 months, not without having the actual hardware, and games that are supposed to be on a new level of quality and complexity. I don't know, MS could rush tha launch to steal some momentum away from Nintendo, but I don't think it'd do them any good mid to long term.

In other words; They need to take a good look at Steam. If they manage to provide a service similar on their console compared to what Steam provides on the PC I guarantee you the money will come rolling in...

Some people might disagree with me about how good steam is but there's no denying that something like the steam platform is what most of us will be using in the future...

The problem is though; Seeing what a piece of shit MS marketplace/"games for windows live" is on PC, I have a hard time believing they have the skill to pull this off....

Why not thats what happened with 360, Kameo and a couple other games where just up-ported.

First gen games will only be a small step up from what we have now.

May be on 2013 but yeah 360 is now 6yrs old and PS3 is 5. 1080P games will be standard for sure but 60fps in unlikely

There's really no reason to make some games 60fps other than waste resources.

60 fps is, to me, important! 30 fps is ok, but 60 makes the world of difference imo!

60 fps is like butter on silk!!!

With the next generation of hardware, there`s really no reason why games at 1080p can`t
be ran at 60+ fps either.

it's not that they can't, it's that they would choose for it not to, for whatever reasons.

this gen was supposed to be 60 fps at 720 minimum, look what happened.

all said and done, there's probably a handful of games that actually run at 720 over what was on the original xbox (don't know what I'm talking about there, but it's sure to get a response)
