Since 7498 DaysI was sorely disappointed in the showcase last week. As IGN had said, MS needs to knock it out of the park. No announcement on price, no mention of Project X Cloud. Nothing earth-shattering. Halo Infinite was a disappointment graphically, and Digital Foundry did an 18-minute piece that was top tier excellent explaining on what MS is up against. Is this cross-generation play idea of MS's a bust already? I was not incredibly wowed by Sony either on their last "conference" video. Spider-man was all I was interested in. I played Spider-man over COVID stay at home over PSN and that was an incredible A+ experience. I have a fast connection and PS NOW is spot on excellent. It just needs 1080p. No lag. I played the entire Spidey campaign to completion and experienced about 1-2 seconds of lag over the entire hours and hours of gameplay. Top shelf game from Sony. Has me half-convinced to give PS5 a go. The Sony controller sucks though. Sorry, IMO.
One thing the digital foundry brought up explaining Halo Infinite's problems with lighting and graphics is this 4K 60fps bullshit. I'll take greater graphics at 1080p at 40 or 50 fps anyday than last-gen graphics at 60fps in 4K. 4K is nothing but hype. Read reviews on TVs from reviewers from when the first 4K TVs first debuted. It is total marketing BS. the ony thing the 4K gen brought us of use was HDR. You have to get too close to see a differnece. Sorry rambling. Phil says MS will beat Sony on price. With this latest MS showing they sure as hell better be cheaper than PS5.
By the way, I really like the PS5's look. The controller still sucks.
