Dont forget we have yet to see bf4 running on the next gen consoles, the footage shown was on a very high end pc, but that said this vid did not blow mw away.

Dear derptastic fuckhead: Do you really not understand the MASSIVE difference between a game that runs at 60 frames per second at barely more than SD resolutions, and a game that runs at 25 frames per second and the same pitiful resolution? No, this game doesn't look as good in still images as Battlefield 4. Because it's not supposed to look better, it's supposed to run, and therefore feel, literally twice as well on the same hardware and at the same resolution. Do you seriously not understand, after this much time, why Call of Duty looks worse than other games? Do you think video game engines are made of magical fucking pixie dust? I'd rather have a game that feels smooth and most importantly: responsive than have something that looks pretty.
Of course, I have a PC so I can get both well beyond anything any console can or will be able to in the forseeable future, so that's pretty nice. Still.
Seriously, it looks fine. If you expected it to look like that Dragons Dogma bit form the PS4 event, you're a fucking stupid naive little child. Seriously, something running at twice (at least! most console games these days don't even hit 30, certainly not consistently, it's usually closer to 25!) the speed and you expect it to blow you away in screenshots compared to Battlefield 4, which all you've seen has been the PC version? Really? Are you 4 years old, or did you just never bother to develop the ability to think?

BF4 is coming to current gen too. That game doesn't need excuses.
As whats already been said.. BF4 isn't being made with 60fps in mind for current gen. Ofcourse that's going to have some sort of impact on what they offer nextgen. COD's obviously going to look better in 2 years time when they've left such restrictions behind and focusing more on squeezing out what the new hardware can do right?

But, though i'm not hugely impressed with the visuals offered here, I also don't think they're as terrible as people are making out. Watch a clear vid of the footage..and GT has a side by side comparison of it against BF4, and though not as nice looking it's not as far behind as you'd think

neither has them at the same time! the pc cant handle putting dogs and underwater sections in the same game. That's where the power of next-gen consoles come in.

Crysis had sharks and turtles and even birds you could shoot down from sky and pick them up and toss them into water.

This game looks closer to some of the better looking PC ports of most FPS games this gen. In motion there were a couple of scenes that seemed to have a lot of moving set pieces, but as far as real graphical fidelity it just looks like what I'd expect a COD9/10? port would look like on next-gen consoles.

Watching that comparison video of the textures really made it obvious that it was using dated tech for the most part. But I'm sure they convinced some people otherwise...

hahahaha.... the crap talk has already started LOL - I dont even like these games but there is nothing wrong here ...
it is obvious that first games on the list will always be something like xbox 360.5 or PS3.5 :p the same way PSONE managed to have pixelated-Free games right before PS2 was out -- and if xbox 360 back then managed to get out of the curse with of PS2/XBOX ip's in HD (AKA Tomb Raider) -- then i'm sure there is plenty plenty more to be unveiled and COD is just another time issue game -
and it just so happens to be coming on next gen consoles
thus any complaints are sooooo not valid here -- but you guys are fun -- keep it coming

Im sure the game will be good. I liked almost all CoD games and Im more simmer than arcader. But it was always smooth, nice graphics and good action. I like the underwater screen.

What an epic trailer. There is a reason why IW are number1 in FPS. I really hope this is not exclusive for X1 and will be released on PS4.

Fantastic trailer but they really need to push the graphics on PC. For consoles it look good I guess for a game at 60fps

Looks really good, I don't know why everyone has to whine and cry and gripe so fucking hard about this series...seriously just enjoy your competing product which is substantially less popular despite it's "astounding" graphics (which sits somewhere between mediocre to just plug ugly on console hardware). Graphics aside, no developer has nailed the fast, fluid and responsive FPS gameplay better than IW and actually makes a genuine effort to craft a thrilling singleplayer campaign. Feel is everything in FPS games and the primary reason for COD's popularity, for a large majority it SIMPLY PLAYS BETTER in both single and multi.

If you don't like it just leave it alone and the rest of it's billions of fans will have a great time. Also, that dog is incredibly cute with his military fatigues on, I really hope you can order him to chomp bad guys.

Feel is everything in FPS games and the primary reason for COD's popularity, for a large majority it SIMPLY PLAYS BETTER in both single and multi.
The COD games have an awful feel though. Sure, it's fast and fluid, which is good for a lot of people playing the MP. Howerver, the AI, the physics, and the animation are all terrible resulting in one of the most boring SP experiences despite all the action set pieces. The enemies are just so uninteresting to fight, and the combat lacks a visceral quality. Nothing about shooting what essentially feels like paper targets is satisfying.
