PC Xbox 360 PS3

Halo 3 isn't the only great game to be at the Game Convention, far from it in fact. This video showing 2 classes of Team Fortress 2 (more to come) certainly proves it!
Update: Second and last video online, showing 2 more classes.

Do I need to list the differences for you between 1.6 and source, having played CS for nearly 7 years now?

Its not hard to adapt from 1.6 to source but its hard as **** to adapt back. I like Source better but don't say there isn't any differences because there are quite a few fundamental ones.

The only reason source got more popular on the competitive front was because of CGS and source TV fixes.
Don't worry, you don't have to.. I know my CS, played it since beta 1.0 in 1998 (downloaded the mod 1 day after release) upto 2005 orso competitivly, and played hunderds of clanmatches in it.. Imho CS 1.6 and CS:S are the same game at the basis, with both the same basic gameplay etc.. And I can switch back&forth without a problem if I wanted to (I did a few times when CS:S was new), but I see no reason to go back anymore to the old & ugly CS now.. Biggest difference I had to get used to was the fact the scale between playermodels and the map itself was different, and throwing grenades was a bit different, but other then that, it's bassicly the same game.. Movement, weapons and the way they handle, even the basic layout of the maps is the same..

And with playermodel v map scale I mean in CS 1.6 playermodels look like midgets compared to CS:S where the playermodels fits the map scale much better, they are bigger.. That's why I think you probably mean it's harder to adapt to smaller playermodels then bigger ones, because it's harder to hit a smaller target.. That is most likely true, but I think anyone with many years or CS experience should still be able to play just as good in both without a problem..
I think the differences between TFC and TF2 will be much bigger then between CS 1.6 and CS:S..

Well, yeah! TF2 is a proper sequal with new classes and new gameplay dynamics. And I welcome it, personally :)

People that claim he's not the best I always tell to go and join the competitions he plays and challenge him.. If not, then simply shut up..

All those so-called hardcore FPS gamers outthere that are socalled better then him are pretty dumb imho for passing on all that big cash that's for the winning.. Fatal!ty makes hunderds of thousands of dollars by just playing competions in FPS games.. How stupid are you for passing on that kind of money if you really think you're better??

And believe me, if you're at his level, you'll know.. I know I'm pretty good, I win most of all my publicserver games in any FPS I play (on PC, I suck with controllers), but I also know I stand little chance against real pro's like him.. I played CPL and online league's in Quake, UT, and CS over the years, so I know a bit..

He's not unbeatable offcourse, I saw him lose in person against some Russian guy back in 2002 I think it was on CPL Holland in Quake3, he ended up in 3rd place.. But overall I think he's the best, he's proven that so many times in several different FPS games over the years.. I wonder how long it will last though, because he's getting older aswell.. But afaik no younger challenger has risen yet..
What are you? His personal spin agent?

No one person is the 'best', especially someone being used by marketing departments to sell products.

You think it's easy to say 'hey Fat, I want to challenge you'? Hell no. There are contests just to get to play him, and then it's going to be by his (and those with product deals with him) rules.

Fat isn't even the biggest winner in pure money in FPS games. He's earned something like $400k over 11 years (or possibly longer). I personally know of a million dollar winner in a CASUAL GAMES contest. 400k over 11 years isn't horrible, but you can make a better living pretty easily...

I'm surprised you don't always dominate pubs if you're in the CPL. I was in some Quake clans, and I lost a lot in private matches, but I can do well in nearly any public FPS game, mouse+kb or no. I know I'm not anywhere near the best, because I've played against some people that haven't even let me win. Of course it's a matter of practice, and these are the kinds of people who play a single game day in and day out. Fatality focuses on one game at a time too. You'd catch him off guard if you could get him to challenge you to a game that he wasn't training in...

Fat is still somewhat limited in his scope. I personally don't limit myself to any genre. I'm basically open to any genre, except I play less sports games and stuff like flight sims.

I think it's really wrong to even assume he's the best overall FPS player, however. Like I said, he's great. At Quake or UT he'd probably shut me out every time. I'd like to play a game of the new COD4 beta with him, though, for example.

as amazing as he may be.....

.....he looks like a douche
i would hate so much to be called the best FPS gamer in the world. thats like bieng the ultimate nerd ever. come on its cool to be addicted to video games, but being addictive to the point where your life is just proving your better then everyone else at video games is so ridiculous. its like showing off that your computer is super awesome and you hope to get a girlfriend or a whole bunch of friends cause your computer is the greatest.

Im with krash101 with this one though I like cs1.6 better :), I have playded cs from beta 1.0, so I know also cs. The biggest difference between cs1.6 and cs:s that in cs:s you dont need aim, I mean accuraty shots to get for example head shots... and therefore many cs1.6 players doesn't like it ( no skill ) and yes, it is more easier adapt from cs1.6 to cs:s than vice versa. Promod will be the future hopefully :)

But jeah, TF2 Looks awesom :)

The speed/tempo of the game looked a little too arcadey. I was hoping for a more realistic movement, not so speedy. Looks great... speed of game has this older gamer worried about my reflex twitch skills.

Just a side-note: this video is actually from X360 version. It was the only playable version on GC.

ps. Jeez, and it seems I'm wrong;) The X360 version was on the floor, while the PC version was in a special GC Freestyle-area outside the halls. At least it seems so. I missed the mouse when I played it on X360.

People ! you are forgetting 1 very important thing. This game was not based around Team Fortress Classic. That was a half-cocked copy cat attempt and the gameplay was aweful. The game that is responsible for this genre (and also in fact this actual game) is ID software and their original Quake 1 Team Fortress mod. After this game, and the huge success it was back in the late 90's, production started on the sequel for the game in the form of Team Fortress 2. Hands up those who actually remember the original website? I sure do. Cut to the point, this game has been in development for about 10 years now and I am damn excited by the fact that it is finally about to be released. 10 Years is a long time to wait.
Also, this game is rightly designed for (and in my opinion so should all first person shooters be) designed primarily for PC's. Seriously guys, if you could network an XBOX with a PC and have a deathmatch competition, I would eat my t-shirt if the guy on the xbox could kill someone with those stupid fiddly controls.

PS: The beta is insane.
