The first 10 minutes: Mass Effect

Now that Mass Effect has been released everywhere in Europe and North America we are finally free to do our usual content. So enjoy this first video showing the very beginning of the game, although 100% in French since our version can't be switched to English. Ha well, it still looks great. More tomorrow!

Update 3: Last video is up, and a 25 minutes one at that! I know it was all in French and I'm sorry about that, but if you still watched this and want to know what happens afterwards, you know what to do. This game is very well worth its price!

A shame they put the Mako vehicule sessions... i hate the one i have just started, enormous let down to be fored to use that. That made me abandon the game for the rest of the day this morning
You´re kidding? Mako sections are great. Actually one of the best things about Mass Effect is the first time you land into a planet with the mako and start driving and exploring.

Seeying all these good comments I might be tempted to get the game myself later today... I loved Freelancer and this is kinda like Freelancer but a FPS. I don't like futuristisc shooters though. So that is my main concern and the only thing that's keeping me from buying the game at this moment.

It definatly not an FPS. If you don't use your and the teams abilitys like biotics or tech you won't get very far. And it definatly doesn't feel like an FPS.

I'm playing it on veteran now. Normal was hard enough but the harder the challenge the more you'll use your abilitys, fantastic concept and gameplay in the end.

btw: If you manage to unlock a weapon or ability achievement you'll be able this ability on other classes as well. My friend now has a tech with a biotic abilty (it's the throw).

Nope, sadly :( i got shot at relentlessly without enough omnigel left to repair. the giant geth thing finished me off.

no FPS is "first person shooter"

This is not first person this is third person

Please god dont end up calling it FPS like they still call gears of war FPS ... you just look a bit stupid if you do.

The geth kept launching rockets at me and that destroyed my Mako (first dark damage decals appeared then flames got out of the vehicle), i will try again later of course but if the other encounters keep getting harder i will be in a bad position.

I had the same issue actually... I love the game, but I could live without the Mako part.

um, i have to play the game still, but, cant you jump over them with your thrusters?

Yep, you are right. After checking the manual, i saw the zoom function in turret mode (by pressing the right analog), that way i managed to kill the threats at a good distance and i had time to jump over the rockets. Thanks for the heads up.
