Dot50cal sent us this nice comparison video of both demos of Devil May Cry 4 on PS3 and 360. Very slight differences indeed, but they exist. The WMV version has been encoded in very high quality.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

But I have to play with the gamma/contrast/brightness witht he full game to make it perfect for my own liking. But so far so good :)

it's very annoying to hear people talk about things like textures and Vram and don't have a clue of what they're talking about, they talk as if both the consoles are rendering the game in the same way.

I've yet to decide what version to get to be honest, although PS3 seems to make a lot of sense being as I've played the others on PS pads. The same thing would be true of a Splinter Cell game on PS3 I reckon, it'd feel a bit awkward.
Then again, Ninja Gaiden Sigma actually controlled better on the PS3 I thought, so maybe I just think the genre suits the sixaxis/dual shock 3 better.
Commented on 2008-01-24 19:08:58 In reply to KORNdogThat aside, and without trying to start a flamewar, I wouldn't consider the Playstation controller better for anything. I really wish Sony would update the darned thing, it's really showing its age. If I could use my 360/PC controller in my PS3, I would.

Commented on 2008-01-24 19:17:30It does however show alot more detail and less wahsed out, that is how I got when I now tested on and off on DMC4 demo.
Now...the controllers.
DMC veterans will disagree with you that this game is gonna fail with PS3 controller.
It is the same controller that they grew up with the series and have been kicking ass for years.
I played NG Black on 360 with 360 controller and the played NG sigma with PS3 controller...the PS3 controller feels "right" for this type of game.
Its smaller, comfortable, the buttons arent clunky and big, it is good designed for fast movements and all.
The 360 controller is big and weird for this type of game.
The only type of game I have enjoyed a game on 360 is the shooting because all shooting games just feels right with that controller.
I do agree with the analog on the PS3 controller, that is my ONLY complaint about it.
Both of them are centered on the lower center, and it just feels bad.
I wish Sony would use the position that MS did for the 360, it would be easier, but the control would have been slighty bigger.
But the problem isnt that big for me to go loco on.

Commented on 2008-01-24 19:25:57I guess the engine Capcom has for DMC4 is not the best to make good textures on PS3, because Uncharted looks bad ass!
This just shows that PS3 can handle amazing textures, but Capcom for some odd reason didn't do a good job with the engine they had or the tools or whatever you want to call it.
(I am not a tech guy so don't kill me for saying something wrong)
Commented on 2008-01-24 19:27:14 In reply to Haig07nowhere in my post did i mention anything about full RGB affecting texture resolution, had you understood my posts you would see that you're just repeating what i said.
Commented on 2008-01-24 19:30:24anyway, ill go back to playing this now, its fun, gameplay wise doesnt stand up to NG but its stiill a good action game to hold me over till NG2.
Commented on 2008-01-24 19:36:36But nice to see that they are almost identical :)
EDIT: hehe, After seeing those pics and that video, I might buy x0 version as well. Too bad that demo is not available for Silver member so I can't compare those yet with my own eyes :)

Commented on 2008-01-24 19:39:21 In reply to Xion4360the face buttons also i feel are more comfortable on the ps3 pad due to them being flatter, especially if you play like i do with the joint in your thumb which ends up hurting like hell after a while on the 360 (hence why i will never buy a beat em up on the console either)
the fact i've gone through the series using the pad is only a minor thing when it comes to my preference. the main reasons are simply that the ps3 pad is more comfortable for me and more accurate in these games. but then it really doesnt work very well for first person shooters.

When I turned, it looked 10x better than when it was off.
So yeah, I rather compare PS3 RGB Full on against limited, rather 360 to PS3.
The consoles have different hardware, you will notice difference no matter what you try.
